I have a question.
Pls take a look at my last match's report and compare it with my other league matches' reports.
Why is my defending suddenly unsatisfactory? Whereas all along my other league matches have been poor, and I have been playing the same 1st team defenders.

valuations are not important :)
you must see how your players play for decide if they are good or not.
For example if your opponent never shot on match your GK take a little valuation.

a singapore's user question: what are asisstants for?Can they help you in training?If so, if i have a main coach with unearthy in pace and an asisstant with unearthy in defense(Cheaper that way), i can train both "player X" (defender) and "player Y" (striker) at the same time,(By placing "player Y" as a def in the match and training in pace.)
- my answer:
in first time you must know that: for assistent you must look only the general value, and the assistent with general value lower than solid are totally unesuful....
The assistent are only a surplus, in first time you must have a great head coach....after when you have a great coach (a great coach is a coach with minimum unealthy in the skills that you train and the other skills are about solid/excellent or more), you can buy your first assistent (but only one for the moment)!!!
It's ONLY the head coach that influence the training....the assistent only help to raise up the skills of head coach (but need 3 strong assistent with high wage to up 1 level in all skills of head coach)...it's more easy and less expensive to invest all money to buy one head coach (with the max wage that you can pay every week for your staff).
In your case if you want train defence and pace, than you must buy a trainer with unealthy pace and defender (the other skills can be low in this first time: but you must know that more high is the other skill and more random skill up you can have...)
Another thing: for find the wage that you can pay for your staff, you must look your bi-weekly balance and the sum of profit and losses:
1) if the sum is positive or negative until 10.000 S$ you can pay more for your staff (in your case for head coach, and maybe for junior coach);
2) if the sum is negative more than 10.000S$, you must reduce the wage of your staff (and go in this range)

@Klvn01: from rules:
Training of stamina
This skill trains the quickest. All players in the team train it irrespective whether they were playing in the team that week or not. The players train with the same efficiency regardless of age and talent. However, untrained stamina may go down, even for younger players. The maximum Stamina that any player can reach is Formidable.
Training of pace
Pace is trained by all players that played at least once during the week, regardless of position. Although this is similar to stamina training, pace is a physical training and thus its effectiveness depends on both a player’s age and talent.
Training of striker
Strikers (ATT position) train most effectively, a bit slower the midfielders (MID) and to a little extent, defenders (DEF) and goalkeepers (GK).
Training of passing
Passing is most effectively trained by the midfielders (MID), the remaining positions train slower. If you want to enhance training effect for other positions, you can do so. However, it will result in decreasing the training effectiveness for the midfielders.
Training of playmaking
The training of playmaking is similar to that of passing. The position that profits most from the training are playmakers/midfielders (MID). Similar to the training of passes, you can also enhance the effectiveness for other positions; however, it will also result in decreasing the training efficiency for the midfielders.
Training of defending (tackling the ball)
You can select the position that will train defending most effectively during the week, you can choose among ATT, MID and DEF. The remaining positions train slower.
Training of technique
Similar to defending, it is most intensively trained by the position selected for the current week.
Goalkeeping training
Only goalkeepers (GK position) that played during the week participate in the training.

is there a way to test my tactics instead of waiting for the matches to come?
no :(
p.s. but if you think that your next cup match are easy, then you can try a new tactic there....
