Try your new tactics against me!! My def is very weak :(
Erm. Noted. That problem is because now i play 3-4-3. The AM is actually in ATT position now, as for the midfield, its one mid and one def mid. Hope that this will add more flow to the passing.
As for the defence, you have a point. But wat about attack on wings? How do i deal with them if i place my defenders together closely?
Finally, what I meant was that when there's a change in pocession, my defenders tend to be "afraid" of the incoming attackers, they tend to run back in the dirction of the attackers. I prefer them to go into tackles and commit themselves.
Nevertheless, thanks for the advice and compliment. I find them useful and i'll work on it.

Unless their wingers is very strong, I find that you shouldnt care about the wingers..
If they atk by the wings, I think that it is best that you play a 5 man mid, with 2 def wingers to counter them.. Hope that helps in your tournament against me!!

My tournament against you? i'm against valgan. ???
^This happens to me too because when you set your tatic, you placed the ball at a set position, your defenders are usually behind and it is your midfield who you usually set there so when you attack, your midfield will move forward, when it changes possension, your players will move back to your fixed position, hence your defenders will move back.
psp tournament? I try a winger tactics against u if i can ;p
One idea with that is to push your defensive mid a bit further up and drop your defenders deeper. What will happen is that the DM won't chase the striker if he's behind and a defender will step up and run straight towards the striker.
As for wingplay, slide your defenders across (while keeping the same spacing in tact) as the ball moves towards the wing. Just make sure they aren't ever TOO far out to the wing and also don't do it on the final line of squares. Realistically though they'll still probably be able to get round, but it's unlikely too many opponents in your league will have players with high enough passing to be able to take advantage of the opportunity anyway. But when you play 3 at the back, that's always the risk :)
As for the 'line' of players in midfield. You've got a couple of choices that will both be fine. Go with the 2 DM's I've outlined in the post before or simply move the mc further up the field, or the defensive mid deeper. I'd suggest the second. What I'd do is sit the defensive mid quite deep in attack (just in front of your defensive) so that he picks up anywa crumbs that come from clearances by the opposition but he also has alot of room to pass the ball that way. I find the best passes in Sokker usually come from deeper positions. In some circumstances the two players are side by side. Usually in attack they go side by side and in defence they're in the line.

As I said above and what Slaynax said, wingplay in Sokker is a bit of an art. The player has to be very special to be able to cuase you much trouble. If you are solid in the middle more often than not the cross or pass will find a defender.
At NT level it's different of course but you need passing levels of at least incredible with a decent amount of playmaking for the player to cross with any sort of consistency. I'd be more worried about the through balls which are far more frequent and more of a problem if your defenders have large spaces between them :)

Hmm. Thanks. Think dat will do. Thanks for your advice. I agree with you about the point of good passing coming from deep. Thanks loads. :)
As you ask me....these are my advice:
1) when the ball is on the center, move your defenders and mid-def two position more up...image
2) also move your defenders and mid-def one/two position more up, when you play in the middle....you are more strong than other team, so you can play with offside trap....image

3) in the defence-phase you def go too down...they must be out of your area...
image 2
for example: look the first goal of Renix (defence too down)....
P.s. only in the last metres put the defender in area!!
4) good position in the "defence throw in" and "offensive throw in"
5) when you are defending...your striker is too down....the striker don't go under the line of middle-field!!

I see that you make more progress :D
...but don't move too much "right and left" your defenders....you must cover at least half field [img=http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/6356/form1ro1.th.jpg]
p.s. this advice is valid for all users!!!!
