Queries about injuries. Is it wise to play a player with slight injury in a match in the following case?

a) No better replacement but it's a crunch match.

b) Youth player who is often on bench but fits in training program this week.

Pls comment.

I think you should just abandon the game :D

Ok, seriously. I think you should play the youth player first for like 65 mins. If the results are going your way, I think you should keep him on the pitch. If not, sub the slightly injured guy in, but dont subst him in too early..

Out of curiousity, when is your "crunch" match? :P

Depends how bad your replacement is.

The player will severely be reduced in his ability so if you have a guy who isn't too bad I'd play him. Otherwise just chuck the youth player in.

Just an example of a situation slaynax.

You mentioned 65 mins. If the results do not go in your way, is there enough time to catch up?

Let's just say in this situation.

Player A. Main striker.

Pace Solid
Scoring Solid
Technique Good

(attributes I go for a striker. :))

Player B

Pace adequate
Scoring adequate
Technique good

Would you play player B?

Alot of things could happen in 25 mins.. If you want to play it safe, put 55 min or less. But i think the player won't have much effect on the match, being slightly injured. But it will depend on the diff. in skills of the young player and the injured player. If it is a huge gap, i'll subst the injured player in after half-time.. If he get injured again, then he can retire le :P

I'll just stick with player B for the whole match..

Really?

I think he's not fast enough to beat the defence.

If u play a guy with slight injury, he'll get injured again easily as he's not fully healed yet!

i think that if your best player have only a litte injured are better to play with you :)
else play with plawer B.
becouse player B are more bat that player A

I'd go player B. Purely because player A won't actually have the pace to outrun the defence. Technique and Pace are the easiest things to notice with Slight Injury's as they both drop severely so you see fumbles and a very slow player.

The other skills also drop but IMO not as much, obviously it's usually harder to judge though but defending doesn't drop alot so maybe that's a guide.
