Subject: Tactics

Next season, the new match engine will be activated in league matches right?

IMO, 5 defenders, flat line and deep, 5-4-1 with 2 AMC or 5-3-2 are good tactics. Do you think with the new engine, playing 4 defenders deep, with little offside trap will be good? Is there a need to spread out the players wide for better passing?

Comments? C'mon. No animosity around here right?

What's the difference with the new engine compared to last season?

- Instead of trying to pass to the strikers right away, players will more often try to use combination passes to move the ball upfield.
- Players will now consider if pass recipient is offsides prior to making a pass (the correctness of this judgment will be based on playmaking).
- Players will less often tackle from behind. Instead, they will try to move in front of the player in possession and look for a more favorable angle.
- Experienced defenders near the goal may be able to clear the ball immediately after a missed reception.
- Players dribbling direction will be somewhat more varied, instead of proceeding directly towards the goal in most cases.
- It will be harder to pass an opponent in the way of an attacker. A good defender will be able to either block or at least slow the attacker somewhat.

well, i think with this, it should pose a new challenge=P Hopefully not too much...

It will be nice if the S-League will be different with this new implement, with the newer clubs winning the title maybe?

in the firsts version of the new engine, i see big differences.....but in the last match of NT and in the last friendly (week 14 and 15) of club team i haven't see this big differences...

So it's not necessary change our tactics....but maybe our tactics need only few improvement (for example i try to put my MID more near between their....like you can see in the last matchs of Singapore NT "tactic new engine")

Will it be a bad idea to play little mid? I am thinking of making one with only 3 mids.

i met with a few SK friends from my town at a beer and we discused this...like they said, i was somehow lucky because I trained technique last season, so...a player with better technique passes better, take the ball better (the ball doesn't jump from him like from a wall). Also i saw that players who posess a good technique won't loose a ball if the defender atacks him from his back, he makes a foult or he slows him down a little, but won't have much affect if there is no other player near
