No, i think that Edward wants to candidate next season for the SG U21!
My asst coach is maniaco71, a really expert and strong user and also my league mate (he is with me in D.54).
Well NIC..I partially agree with you..you can say that only if you have a good first team and good reserves..For example in the last season i`ve decided to train a lot of young players in pace..so beside my strong first team my reserves were about all young players that couldn`t play in the first team..so sometimes as a consequence of red cards of injuries i wasn`t able to use the tactic i wanted to use cause to the lack of players!
All these words were to say that sometimes you have to sacrifice the first best formation and choose the second one to get out the maximum from your players..and I think that in a country like SG that is still growing this could be the winning way of thinking!
However I agree with you, a good tactic can defeat stronger opponents..
For example the previous week i helped a friend of mine in creating a tactic for a match to get promoted against a much stronger opponent (this friend of mine started playing only few week ago..so his players sucks and has no stamina)..
Getting promoted was impossible..but with the right tactic we did in it :)

And this is the problem!! The best formation is not the one with your players play well, but the one that attacks the weak points of the opponent.
For example: if you have 2 strong strikers and a less strong winger and your opponents uses only 3 defenders, it's better to use the winger who, thanks free spaces, can waste the defense instead of 2 strikers who can be stopped by his defenders.

That`s our difference..
If i have to face a 3 def and i have to choose between:
1) two really good ATT
2)a good ATT with a weak winger
I choose the first option using a Central one and the other larger to get around my opponents DEFs!
I won`t choose the second option cause the wing must be the most complete player of the team! I have trained mid for years (about 6 seasons) and i can say that a wing that isn`t enough good is useless!Moreover if you are using only an ATT the wing must be also good in scoring..so have to be much more than complete..
That`s what I mean by getting the best from my players!As a manager i have to create the best tactic to defeat my opponent according to my players!

I didn't say that that the winger is weak. I just said that the winger is less strong of the strikers. If you read my message in this way, what I said make sense.
However if you use a lateral striker he also needs playmaker and passing, because if defenders are quite good they will make him go even more lateral and there, a striker who isn't able to put the ball in the box, is useless and I think that it's difficult to have a striker with high side-skills in a little country like Singapore ;)
I even don't agree that the winger has to be the most complete player in a team, because for example the skill defender is more usefull for an inner MID who needs to steal the ball to the other MIDS.

From a strong striker i expect him to have a bit of playmaking and passing..however we were talking in general, not about the SG situation.
Even reading the situation like this i choose again the first case..One forward with a wing less strong of him is too few!!

A winger needs 3 skills really higher than the others and they are pace, passing, technique as you said.
An Inner MID needs 5 skills to be complete and strong, so he is the player who needs more skills (the higher skill depends if he is a defenisive MID, a playmaker ecc..).
And I am not a noob who needs to ask this somewhere (if I were noob I wouldn't hav been in the Italian staff for several years and I wouldn't have beaten 2 teams of Serie A).

If that player has also high playmaking and defender he is no more a winger.. he is an inner MID that you use on the wing..!
And this isn't a matter of reason (if in sokker there is a "reason") :)

Guys!!!!!Tomorrow (about 44 more hours) is the deadline to vote for the coach of both the National Teams!!This is an important step..the U21 have to play to qualify for the World Cup, the main Nt has the possibility to play in the unofficial Mini World Cup! I`d like to invite the users that still has to vote to make their choice to decide who`ll be the 2 users that will have the honor and duty of keeping high the name of Singapore!!
Probably i`ll not be online tomorrow and during the deadline of the elections!
I don`t know if I`m going to win or not..the sure thing is that i enjoyed being part of this community during the last few weeks, everyone have been really friendly and this means a lot to me. Really thank you!! Good night to all!! (here in Italy is 2 am^^)
