Subject: Finalised U21 NT

2009-05-20 06:47:54
I think it's every manager's decision to make. Everyone wants his player in first 11, but that's not possible. Depends on the tactic, form etc.

Tell him that's bcos I have his stamina down as hopeless in the database... and there are faster defs than him in the U21 squad... That's why I didn't play him against a very good team.

If he wants his player to play, tell him he has to up the pace to at least excellent and stamina to good.

Thanks!

this is my post from sokker international... I think you should know about it:

Well, here we go... I want to bring a problem in front.
Is about Singapore National Coach, [diablo]klvn.

He was selling one of his players: Felix Ee 13539984, 18yo junior, who was looking like this:
unsatisfactory stamina hopeless keeper
very good pace very good defender
unsatisfactory technique solid playmaker
poor passing average striker

I asked him about price and talent and about his NT chances. He told me about the price and talent and also about his NT chances, as I will show below. After a couple of sk-mails, I said him I don't want him anymore, too expensive and not that good talent.
About his NT chances, here you have some of his replies (I don't think he minds):

He has a definite chance of U21 even though his talent is just normal. Once his tech is at least good, I'll put him straight into the U21 first team as we do not have many good defenders.

He can play constantly in U21 now! Except that his stamina and tech is too low, so he can't play as CD or last more than 45 min!

sure, as I said he'll play in the NT... but only for 45 min as his stamina is too low..

and SG U21 doesn't have many good defenders. He came out from YC to be the 4th best def in pace + def, actually! If not for his stamina, he would play every game... :)

So, as you can tell, he is a life-time member for Singapore. But I didn't want to pay the price requested.

After a couple of days, I see him on TL (as NT Member, with one match played against Italy!). I managed to buy him for a pretty cheap price (around 750k euros).
At his first training, he poped in def, passing and striker! I send a sk-mail to klvn, to know about him and I asked if he'll play this week. He said "yes"
Now, he's not in NT anymore.
Reason?

Bcos he's not good enough!

I asked for explanations, and he said:

Subject: Re: Hi
I didn't lie. Yes I said he'll play again, but you didn't pay 1.5M for him. So he's not worth for me to put him in the U21 NT anymore as I have better and more talented players.

Furthermore I'm not gonna bump up his price for you by playing him in the NT as you didn't pay NT prices for him. Since you pay non NT price for him, he' be a non NT player.

He is thinking that i was going to PAY for his NT place! He forgot what he was saying, that he is the 4th best def (maybe better, after he poped). Stupid enough...

Well, this player is playing constantly:

G.P. Mikuni, age: 20

club: Deportivo Salvador, country: Singapore
value: 876 000 lei, wage: 6 700 lei
divine form, good tactical discipline
bookings:
very good stamina tragic keeper
formidable pace solid defender
good technique very good playmaker
hopeless passing poor striker

and it's obviously is way weaker than mine. But, guess what?? He was on TL, and he is from klvn youth school! Wow, that is a coincidence... I bet there are many other players from his youth school in NT, and who don't deserve to play...
But he's NT Coach, he can do whatever his muscles wants... Nice one, klvn... You think NT is your toy...

So, pay attention in the future with Singapore players...

Well, the fact is that there are some(if not alot) of NT manager does this anyway. Firstly, they will put them in the NT to jack up the price and then drop him once he is sold just to allow their country manager to earn more money. I can easily sympathise with klvn. He might decide that a stronger player might be needed to play in the friendly to drop yours. Him jacking up the price of his own team player makes it complicated but i dont see why so wrong.

1) He as the NT manager can select anyone he wishes to.
2) Alot of other NT manager also include a potential youth to jack up the price.
3) Klvn sold the player but may wish for him to develop first.
4) Promised an NT spot isnt a very concrete argument
5) Klvn youths are one of the best in the country, no one in singapore argues that

I havent spoken to klvn yet but this is my view, i dont know why you are making a big fuss out of it. Just because klvn promise you, he might think hes not ready for the NT yet. He promises that he would be a future NT.

I think you are the one at fault here. Your greed propelled you to buy a youth who is promised an NT spot to secure more trg. You said it yourself, he is not one of the top youths then why did you buy him, because he was promised an NT spot. When you were denied, you came here and make a big fuss, hopefully to discredit our NT manager. You could have resolve this problem with klvn or the singaporeans but came to the international forum to post for everyone to see...May i question your motive? I can smell a sore loser around.

Edit: Besides, his youth might be as good if not better than yours, just older. I think you are the one making a fuss out of no reason.
2009-06-27 07:56:13
But I think anaconda has made good points. I shall remain silent until I get klvn's side of the story first.
2009-06-27 07:57:31
EverSoul, Anaconda is he making a fuss for no reason? He sure hav his reason to make 1. He put up the SK mail like u see above as he just feel like being con by Klvn as to buy Klvn Youth player & a promise for NT place.

Yes indeed as u say 4) Promised an NT spot isnt a very concrete argument i agree too

But 5) Klvn youths are one of the best in the country, no one in singapore argues that, i will argues tat lol. Cos every SG Sokker manager will hav chance to hav very good Youth. Not just ONLYKlvn to hav it, if not the whole NT U21 will be all from Klvn Youth Sch see the point?

Anaconda, is it sad to hear tis from u & yes every 1 will try to use good words or u can say sale talk on their player. Ok just like u go shopping, a saleman promote u a product to u as he definitely say his product is the best & may give some promise. K u believe it & brought the item & some how u may not satisfied with it & complain it. Sound familiar? As our normal daily life as it will often happen to us.

K the key point is Anaconda just wan to let us know abt tis bad deal & promises given by Klvn.
As i dont think u can get a refund. As my point of view u trained his young player well just sell off as it may give u some profit as then u can go buy a better player u wanted. So no worry ya =)
2009-06-27 08:02:39
Valgan no need to get other side story la, as i say a saleman wont say his product bad right? =)
2009-06-27 08:10:51
Yeah. But klvn played Mikuni, perhaps a stronger player (but still much older), instead of playing the 'promised' U21 player that he sold to anaconda.

I know a U21 NT coach can choose the players he wants to play for the squad, but his reason for throwing the player out of the team seems a little absurd.

Let's just wait for klvn to explain things.
2009-06-27 08:49:09
as you didn't pay NT prices for him. Since you pay non NT price for him, he' be a non NT player.
Tis dont sound good. If Klvn using his NT U21 coach rights to bump his player price up for his own club good, think hav to change to a foreign Coach to be fair to other SG club manager.
2009-06-27 09:47:26
Guys, i believe klvn is helping us out here. By putting a player in the SG squad, his price would be higher, probably a little selfish but i think his decision is justified.
2009-06-27 09:49:12
I'm very very disappointed to hear this. If klvn has indeed done this, then I think he should not be involved in any of our NTs from now on.

Abuse of the NT role is not right, no matter whether other coaches do it or not.

I'm willing to hear his side of the story first, and we can decide later.
2009-06-27 09:51:04
The problem is not that he's putting our players in the NT squad to get higher prices, it's that he's allegedly intentionally putting his players in the squad ahead of those who are more deserving.

The higher price only helps the seller, not everyone else.
2009-06-27 09:53:33
The fact is undeniable that he really did put his own player BUT his player is good enough for U21 NT. Unless someone has a better player than that? I agree, we should wait for klvn's side of the story. I advise everyone to calm down first. Anaconda post first, we can assume his side of the story is a little biased so i dont want everyone's mind to be influnced first.
2009-06-27 10:23:10
To set the record straight once and for all.

WHAT HAPPENED

Anaconda asked me how much I want for my player, i showed him the valuations forum saying that he's worth about 1.6M and in the end we agreed on 1.5M. Then he told me to put the player on TL as earlier in the morning as possible, I said ok.... I did everything as he told me to.

But then, I told him I will play him in the next NT match against Italy bcos he is not bad in terms of his skills. When he heard that, he told me not to do it. Why? I do not know... But I told him I will still play him... After that he told me it's my decision, but next he told me he did not want my player anymore, as he found another player. I told him it is ok... But I still put him on the TL bcos he's not in my training plans.

WHY I DID NOT PUT HIM IN THE NT

Yes, we did had a deal that if he pays that amount of money, I would play him in the NT. I said ok, since it doesn't make any difference to the team whether he plays or not. Anything wrong with that?

But since our deal was off, I do not think I have to keep my side of the bargain anymore... Must I?

Furthermore, I do not take kindly to threats! After Anaconda bought him, he said to me that if I do not put him in the NT, he would make my life hell as an NT coach! I want to see how he can make my life hell!

As you can see people, before he bought my player he didn't want me to put him in NT fearing it might drive his price up... and when I told him I will, he told me he doesn't want him anymore. Then he goes and bid for him and after he got him at a much lower price than we agreed on, he wants me to play him in NT hoping that it will drive up his value when he sells it!

Do you guys think I am stupid??? Do you think I do not know what is in Anaconda's mind??

I may consider putting the player in the NT when he's found a new owner, but not when he's in Anaconda's team!

So I hope everyone get the facts right before jumping to conclusions.
