Subject: [NT] kozmagabor

Hello everybody!

My name is kozmagabor. I’m a 19 years old Hungarian student. I pass into the University on finances department. I would like to apply to be your NT coach. I can speak in English and in German.
About my Sokker Career:
I registered to the sokker in 2005. Last year I finally win the first division, so now I’m plaing in the Champions Club (The Champions league of Sokker). I was Hungarian NT captain 3 times. My best matches with the hungarian NT:

Canada – Magyarország 1-3
Magyarország – Argentina 3-2
Argentina – Magyarország 4-4
Magyarország – Italia 2-1

My plans and goals if you select me:

In the next year your national team will play 16 friendly matches, before the next World Cup Qualifiers period. My main aim would be to score as many ranking points as we can, so I like to play with similarly strong teams.

The skills importance:
Goalkeeper: 1. keeper 2. pace 3. passing
Defender: 1. Defending 2. Pace 3. playmaking, technique, passing
Playmaker: 1. Passing 2. Playmaking the others is depending on the position of the MID. A def-mid needs more defending, a winger needs more pace and technique.
Striker: 1. Pace, technique and striking are equally important and then the defending, playmaking and passing
Off course stamina is important for every player.

My tactics:

My main tactical idea is to change tactics to be unpredictable. And the other important thing in sokkker to defending against the off-wingers. You shouldn’t let him to make many opportunities by crossing the ball. You can prevent it with five defenders or by moving the defending line toward the sides.

Communication: If you select me, I would use the Singapure National Association. I will write there about the players (Off Course I won’t show the players skills if the manager don’t want to show it to anybody else) and about the matches (about the opponents and the tactics).

Just one qns, how is your approach in managing our NT team? We obviously should look towards building up our youths to aim for the future, what are your view?

I think that the coach main role to build up a more stronger national team is to keep players in training (to search a costumer if the owner want to sell the player).


If I see well, that you have enough young players in the national team, but new players (I mean players who played in the U-21 and now they are 22 or 23 and has chance for the normal NT) will continously get bigger and bigger role int he NT because they became better then the older NT players. But I don’t think that a huge generation change or to play with not the best players is not needed.

Kozmagabor, what is your vision for the team if you are elected? Do you have hard target set, e.g. ranking position or achievement? Which area can we improve?

Yes, my main target is to gain ranking position. I think that there are national teams who don't have better players than Singapore. The other question is a bit harder. I haven't see the current NT coach's system inside, but I saw how the hungarian system developped by the coaches step by step.

If there isn't, then I would make a database from other NT players. It makes easier to create a good tactic if you know the opponent's players skills (at least for me). The other main aim is to keep players in training as soon as possible. If someone don't want to train the player anymore, than we need to convince him to continue the training or to sell him and find a customer.

Hi!! as the former and still actual coach I have to say that i don`t agree with your plan!!
The important for Singapore is not gaining ranking points..but helping the youngsters in developing their skills faster! This means that is better to play with players max 24 yo in order to have the best nt possible for the next world cup qulifications!

Supercel you should stay!!! Save us of the brain-wrecking decision....

It has only sense if they can be better in the next few seasons, than the older ones.

So I don't like to set a maximum age limit (but those who will be good enogh for the next WC qualifications will surely get chance. And if you are gaining ranking points, than you can earn an easier group. But to do this, the main view is to search opponents for friendlies who have far better players.

Singapore is currently 81st on the ranking, so they're only one place lower than the 5th pot. However the 4th pot is more than 400 points away. It's extremely hard to make it into the 4th pot from here in one season even if you win 16 matches.

I'm following the Singaporean NT for about 3 seasons now and they have quite a few young players with very nice potential /like my Boo for example :)/. Knowing these two things, do you still think that building a young squad for the future is a bad idea? :)

That's what I say in my speech!!
For this country s it better to grow with young players. These players will be important for the future.

I'm not against a young squad. I watched the players, who in the last season and they aren't so old. But I don't like to set up a maximum age without knowing the squad better. So if the Singaporean choose me, it not means an old squad. The players who has nics hopes will play, but I also would like to reach the 5. pot for the draw and currently Singapore is in the 6th.

That should be easy if you choose the right opponents :)
