Easy win in our B-team against Nicaragua B-team match. One short injury.

Next week WCQ rematch round is starting. We play against Hong Kong.

Hong Kong - Singapore 0:1

Good result in difficult and very important match. But most valuable news is: Lietuva - New Zealand 0:0! Now we got 5 points advantage over 3rd team in our group. Great!

Next week we play against Nederland, so we can't expect points from them, but thanks to today's Lietuva - New Zealand draw, we'll stay on second place, even if we lose.

Singapore - Nederland 0:3

Game without history, we can't match with Nederland. One injury on Danny Asngari. I'm upset a little obout this, Danny is our best winger, but we have two more players capable to replace him.

Next week we play against Lietuva. It will be most important match for us. If we win, we will be very close to advance. Cross your fingers next saturday!:)

good job! :D Fingers crossed!

To late, you should do this before and during the match:D

We lost 0:4. I was expecting our small winning or draw. Honestly - I'm not angry or dissapointed. We had luck on our side that many times before, so I knew that bad day will come sooner or later.

From 40' we played with 2 defenders only. 2 red cards and case was closed. I hope we are done with match engine now:)

Next week we play friendly with Guatemala. After that last two WCQ matches are coming.
2014-10-05 11:53:16
When the "divine random" decide that you have to lose, there is nothing to do ;-)

It's a pity that we had to play only with two DEF, probably in 11 vs 11 the result would have been really different.
But like you said, it's ok. You are doing a great job in this WCQ, our community (yes I put myself in this place) must be proud of you.
Now think to the last two matchs, and bring us to WC!

Guatemala - Singapore 1:0

Small defeat in friendly match, no injuries. Our B-team played so I'm not surprised by result with stronger rival.

Bad news is that our first lineup players are in not good form in most cases recently - all the keepers, strikers (except R.D. Chok), and mids (A.I. Vairavan - the only one really good central mid is in poor form). Striker J.I. Perisamy suffer injury in today's league match.

All of this it's not good sign before next two WCQ matches, but we must try to do our best of course.

Next week we play against Nicaragua.

Singapore - Nicaragua 4:2

Good win in hard match. It was not easy, Nicaragua, as I wrote before, is very dangerous team leaded by very good coach.

Next week we play last WCQ match against New Zealand. If we want advance to WC, we must win. And this is not the only condition. We must count on Nederland. They must win against Lietuva or at least draw with them.

To be honest - I'm not very optimistic. It will be hard a lot to win against New Zealand, considering our players present form, which is weak. I can say we've never been before in such poor form as an entire team like we are now:(

On the other hand Nederland don't need to fight hard against Lietuva. They are in finals already. Today they lost their first match against New Zealand, so why they should win against Lietuva?

As you see, all the circumstances are against us. But I'm not going to cry about that. We'll fight!

New Zealand - Singapore 0:0

Well, it was close.... Lietuva don't need to win with Nederland now, they are both in WC. They have better goals difference than we have, so we finished qualifications at 3rd place.

Not bad, but you know, it could be better. One unlucky, stupid rematch with Lietuva and we are out. But I'm not blaming this match only. I know one thing - if we want play in finals some day, we can't depend on one single match. It is always a chance to be punished by random factor.

But fact is - it was very, very close. Now imagine what could be when U-21 will start helping senior NT. Without such cooperation we will be always at 3rd or 4th place. As I wrote before, we are not strong enough to advance without U-21 help. What is heppening with U-21 we all see every week. Just for example - look at my young defender which is on transfer list. Is he really not good enough to play in U-21?

Bruce Kuan

He is just example, there are more forgotten youngsters. What future we are preparing for SG NT by acting this way?

I feel fully responsible for results, so I'm thinking about my future with SG NT. Maybe it's time to step down? Maybe someone could handle SG NT better? Maybe someone can force ericchow to do his job as he should or force him to step down? Maybe....

I must think about it.

Next week we play friendly with Cymru.

First of all, we have to say thank to you, because you have done a great work with NT. You haven't a great team, I know that, but you did all you can, and probably something more!

I hope you will continue with NT, because this community needs you :-)

Next WCQ I hope you will bring SG to WC ;-)
2014-10-27 00:47:08
I'm not so sure about that...

I think we cannot be stronger more than we are now. It was a big chance for us - not extremaly hard group like in previous WCQ, selected best players, all on interantional level, my best tactics, cleaned and still uptated database. From my side it was all I can do. With big help from you, of course. What can I do more?

The only thing can help pick up NT level is U-21 cooperation or NT coach change.

I'm not blaming unlucky match with Lietuva, shit always happens. I'm blaming myself for both draws with New Zealand. There we lost one point needed. Last match was kind of unlucky too since all the players were in poor form, but first match is my responsibility only. It was not best tactic for that match. I'm not best tactician arround Sokker. Maybe another coach is more capable?

I'm devoted to Singapore, but I feel I can't do more under this circumstances. I can't promiss anything more than we achieved now. I'll be glad to be a NT coach to the end of next WCQ if community will vote on me, but after that I will step down if nothing will change with U-21. Otherwise I'll be an administrator only:)

Ok, crying time is over, season of friendlies is coming.

I'm going to use it for next WCQ preparations, not for collecting rank points. I think I've proved that rank points are not the key to take serious fight for advance. Therefore I'll end NT careers most of 32yo players, and some of 31yo maybe.

Starting from now I'm going to play in matches with next WCQ players only, others will be on the bench and in B-team, even if they are better at the moment.

Consider it as my election speech also:)
2014-10-30 11:29:20
Eheheheh.. What a strange election speech :P

You are right, this is the best thing to do to prepare next WCQ ^^

Great work guys!

The number of human players are quite low, not many stay in sokker. As a SK manager that started for a 2nd time with a new team, I understand with the low number of human managers and the gap between the top and new players, it is hard to keep an interest.

I hope you guys would stay on, be it as a NT or U21 coach, or just active and have a keen interest in the SG community. With the given resources, it is tough, but you guys couldn't have done any better!

Thank you guys for a season of hard work! Appreciate it. :D

Cymru - Singapore 2:4

Good away win with little stronger rival, one light injury.

Next week we play with Costa Rica
