Well, I have bad news about person which I wrote about. Finally he refused to start in SG U-21 elections:(

Now I can tell who was he. This person is pazdzierz84, current coach of U-21 NT Polska. He won U-21 World Cup twice, including current season. He refused to start again in Poland, and he is looking for a new challenge. He took under consideration U-21 Singapore (by my suggestion) and U-21 Česká republika.

Today he decided to start in Česká republika. He told me that community's activity was the main reason. He reviewed both national forums and told me he is overwhelmed by silence here. I can't blame him, after activity on polish forums he must be overwhelmed seeing almost only my posts:)

I hope that U-21 coach bring new impact in writing on SG forum.

U21 polska?! He must be an awesome manager with a lot of experiences.

Well, there's only 16 human players, and probably only active ones are the S-leaguers and a few others.

It wasn't this quiet when i was playing sk a few years back. :/

Nobody is expetcing that SG forum should have 1000 posts each day:) But few post weekly will be ok - maybe about competitions in S League, manager's plans, comments and suggestions about both NTs and their matches, about intertesting SG players which SG managers will suggest to NT coaches, etc.

There are some things we can discuss here. Maybe someone is not happy with my way of handling NT or way of handling youngsters by U-21 coach, and have some comments, questions or suggestions? Maybe someone have an observations about Sokker itself - a game, world competitions. Champions League, etc? Maybe about soccer in real life? Every subject will be welcome and let this forum stay alive.

It will be good for SG community and also for people like pazdzierz, who can helps a lot, seeing living community, despite small number of users. It's very inspiring, believe me.

Today's match:

Singapore - India 3:3

A draw with team a little stronger than we are. No injuries.
Next weak we play last match this NT season, it should be match with Belarus by schedule.

Next season we'll play friendly matches only. If I win elections, I decided to say goodbye to 34yo and 33yo players, because they will be 34yo and 35yo when we will play in next WCQ, and holding them is pointless. They will become to old and they will loose to many skills to be useful then. Some of them may play well yet in coming season (M.H. Tai, Flexi Esawaran f.ex.), but winning all friendly matches at all costs is not our main goal. I will rather let play younger players from present bench, to help them develop a little more before next WCQ will come.

So next match will be farewell match for our oldest stars. I hope that Flexi Esawaran will not be injured on wednesday. He deserve to complete 100 matches in NT!:)

One of our best NT strikers - 26yo B.H. Gee is on transfer list. Maybe someone of you can take him? He is almost complete striker and should be our first lineup player soon. Two stamina trainings and he should be ready. I'm looking for striker to my team, but I'm afraid that I haven't enough money at the moment:(

Two days only left to end of elections.

Currently I'm the only candidate for senior NT. Thanks for your voices and I hope that you'll not change your decision:)

My concern is U-21. Three candidates, including present coach. I don't want to support officially anyone by nickname. I can only appeal - choose wisely please.

Both NTs are connected. If U-21 is under bad handling, it effects senior NT too. Looks like you all agreed with me about way of handling senior NT. I want expand and develop SG national team. It's a long term project, so I need U-21 full support to make it possible.

We need a man with not only manager skills and experience, we need someone with devotion and vision, who is searching new players, working on tactics, analyzes rivals, taking care of players by staying in touch with their owners and suggesting them which skill should be trained, etc. U-21 coach should write on forum often about his NT, one time each week at least, after NT match.

If we want to be stronger, we must start think like strongers. Once again - choose U-21 coach wisely, please.

I don't know what will happen, the only thing that I can say, is that if I will become U-21 SG manager, I will help Wiki to create a long term project, to make SG stronger.

The only thing that I hope, is that you've already understood that from my speech :)

Go Singapore!

Belarus - Singapore 3:1

Unlucky defeat on end of NT season. Close game, equal teams, similar stats. Many shots from both sides (BLR 12 - SG 13), but our strikers weren't efficient enough today. By the way, they are in top form - divine and superdivine:)

Now we are waiting for end of elections. If nothing will change with senior NT elections, I'll start search rivals for next season friendlies immediately after elections deadline.

I'm glad to present you new senior NT staff member - mrtessa, who is taking scout position.

mrtessa has started in last U-21 elections. Despite he is not a winner, he want help SG in other possible way. We need people like mrtessa, so I've decided to ask him for scout position and he agreed to be a scout. I'm sure this cooperation will be benefitial for all of us.

I've completed our schedule for this season. I choosed more strong opponents this time - current rank in brackets, our rank is 66. Only 4 teams has lower ranking than we have. So don't expect season with plenty of wins:)

We must play more often against teams stronger than we are. It shows how far from them we are yet. I predict many defeats this season, but knowledge and training are priceless.

Full schedule:

Week 02:Hellas (23)
Week 03:Al Maghrib (83)
Week 04:Cuba (65)
Week 05:Venezuela (41)
Week 06:Indonesia (52)
Week 07:Prathet Thai (91)
Week 08:Kypros U-30 (58)
Week 09:Crna Gora (76)
Week 10:Ireland (51)
Week 11:Israel (18)
Week 12:Scotland (33)
Week 13:Belarus (59)
Week 14:as-Saʻūdiyya (86)
Week 15:India (61)
Week 00:Portugal (29)
Week 01:South Africa (48)

We start with Hellas on Saturday

great notice!!!

You are welcome Mrtessa!!

Thanks ;)

Nice to have you on board mrtessa! Congrats on your win wiki!

Would be good if we can beat nations like ireland and indonesia. A little hard but would be awesome!
2014-04-10 11:24:58
Thanks!

Yes, it would be good to beat Ireland and Indonesia:) But this is not the issue. Beating them give us nothing really great. I checked, Canada has lowest rank among teams playing WC finals this season - 45, they had many luck with group sedding in qualifications.

It means to me that we should beat teams with rank at least 40, not only occasionally, to start dreaming about advance to WC. If we can beat Hellas, Scotland, Venezuela, Portugal and engage a fight with teams like Israel, then we will be ready.

Present NT has no chance to do this. Therefore I'm still trying change this situation. To be honest, what is the difference between being on 55 or 75th place in ranking? Advancing to WC is something great! So I will use nearest few seasons for improving players and making some tactics suitable for them.

I'm watching NT matches and trying to learn what we need to improve in future. It's always best to learn from strongers. What can we learn from weakers?:)

Singapore - Hellas 1:0

Unexpected win with WC finalist. It's a pleasant surprise, but I think that Hellas saving their best players for WC finals. Win is win anyway, so I'm happy, axpecially considering red card for our best striker R.D. Chok in 75'. So let's celebrate this an hour or so:)

I see the match!
Really nice win, we haven't stolen anything ;)
Probably Hellas saved their best players, like you say, but they have really good players, so this is a great win :)
Compliments Wiki!
