I see the match!
Really nice win, we haven't stolen anything ;)
Probably Hellas saved their best players, like you say, but they have really good players, so this is a great win :)
Compliments Wiki!

Thanks:)

@all: mrtessa is doing very good job as a scout. So I've decided to give him full control and responsibility of handling and updating our NT database.
2014-04-17 09:13:38
thats good! By the way, just wondering, how many U21 do you guys plan to bring in every season?
2014-04-17 11:20:34
I'm not sure I understood correctly. Bring in where to? Please specify:)
2014-04-19 13:49:54
I might have put out my questions wrongly. :P

Was wondering how many players do you guys plan to bring in from the U21 to the NT squad each season?

Next question would be what about those SG players who are missed and not in the U21? Eg. those scouted by mrtessa but not in U21, but have the potential to be a good player. Any plans to nurture these players?
2014-04-22 00:37:43
Both questions are interesting. The answer require more than few words, so prepare for small elaboration:)

I haven't planned to bring U-21 players to senior NT, al least not yet. Same about U-21 players missed.

Maybe I'm naive, but I'm still counting on ericchow's responsibility and activity in this matter. He was choosed by majority (more than 66%) of active SG managers. I must respect this fact. Therefore we don't seek seriously U-21 players yet. We concenrate on 22-32yo players to fulfill and update database.

I hate vision when both NTs are competitive - senior NT steal players from U-21, U-21 doesn't support senior NT and so on. All efforts are futile then. There are players who should play in U-21 and those who should play in seniors. It's the only way to achieve our goal. I believe it's our common goal since I was choosed by 100% of SG active managers.

I think I can speak also for mrtessa, we can help with U-21 scouting if ericchow need our help. Meantime I'm thinking about promotion a few 22-24yo most promissing players to let them play in friendlies so often as it possible. Since results in friendlies are not our biggest interest, it is better to help them grow a little faster.

Al Maghrib - Singapore 4:2

Strange defeat I must say. Propably it was a punishment for Hellas:). No injuries fortunately.

Next week we play with Cuba.

Interesting answers. Haha.

Well, perhaps i'm wrong, but most U21 players have the highest potential to progress as a NT players?

I understand the end product from the U21 might not be of standards to the NT, and some other players that were missed by the NT actually progress better, so it's a fair point to look at 23-24 players.

I was just thinking if it is possible to "recommend" certain players to the U21, if you guys, or anyone spots a good talent? It would be good to get those extra matches in training.

Votes are confidential, and I do not endorse or support anyone, but I was just hoping you guys would have an easier job if the SG managers that are active (and reading this) help produce enough talents and juniors for you guys to do the job.

This is my 2nd team in sokker, and I've been through from the time when revan was coach and there were as much as 30 players, to now where it's not even 20. I've played through div II to S-league, and I know how hard it is for div II to have enough money for slots in a junior sch(even now I only have 16 slots). So it would be good if the top divisions produce more juniors for the future U21 and NT. Just my 2 cents. :)

There is no difference in training bonus between U-21 NT match and senior NT match. All players should play in their own age category - best U-21 players should play in U-21 NT, senior players should play in seniors. We can speed up growing large number of players at the same time. 22-24 yo best players can't play elsewhere so they must play in senior NT friendlies, even when they are much weaker at the moment than older NT members.

When we have very promissing U-21 player who is missed, he still should play in U-21 NT, not in seniors. It must be a U-21 coach task to find best U-21 players and field them in every possible match.

Recommending players should be a standard if someone find interesting missed player. I've recommended to ericchow my best 3-4 young SG defenders. They are selected, with good talent checked players who should be NT strong points in the future. Best and second of them are not even picked up tu U-21 NT. The third one is playing.

It is ok that player such N.K. Manimala, who is playing at 45-46 as a def, mid or def-mid and is talented like a hell is not a U-21 NT player, where players at the same age, with 29-31 notes and much less value are playing permanently on those positions? Only one player on the bench in U-21 match squad? I'm afraid that recommending is not effective here:(

Yes, we have not to many good and talented youngsters. It is obvious at small number of active SG managers. So U-21 coach should put more attention on every promissing player and you all guys should try "produce" so much is possible youngsters. But only those who are promissing at academy, you don't need to keep dozen of poor youngsters without prospect in academy and boost costs.

Scouting and updating 24-32yo players is coming to the end, next step will be update on 22-24yo players and promoting to NT best of them.

Maybe you want to help NT and join staff as a scout dedicated to U-21 players? I'll be glad having SG manager in NT team:)

Cuba - Singapore 2:2

Good game, equal teams, fair result, no injuries. One thing deserve special note: first time under my leadership (or ever?) one of our defenders reach more than 80 match note - Michael Wah (81).
It shows that despite small number of players we can construct strong team in the future if we can select proper players early and support them consequently.

Next week we play with Venezuela.

After consideration I released all 32yo players from NT. They all were bench players or deep reserve players. There is no reason to keep them any longer. I picked up to NT some 26yo players instead. Now we have average age 29 in NT and it will be lower soon when I pick most promissing 22-24yo players to NT. SG is getting younger:)

Venezuela - Singapore 3:1

Predicted defeat against stronger rival.

Our defence line is quite young now (three 26yo players, one 28yo and one 30yo) and not that strong like our older line, but they are gaining training bonuses and will be strong in future.

No worries about our future defence then. We have few 26yo players and few younger defenders under training. They all will be valuable NT players.

Things looking worse in midfield. Now we have plenty of good 29-31yo midfielders and wingers, but maybe two-three 22-26yo players only who are looking promissing at the moment. This is a "gap" I wrote about two seasons ago. My only hope is that more mids under our observation will be trained seriously.

Situation with strikers is similar - now we have plenty of 29-31yo good strikers, but only one 26yo striker who may play now (B.H. Gee) and two 22-25yo strikers who are looking promissing. This is another part of "gap". Lucky part is that we don't need that many strikers as we need mids. Three good strikers will be minimum but enough at least.

Keepers - now we have three 30-31yo good keepers and one 24yo Gareth Moorthy who is very close to reach international level. Some younger keepers are promissing and I'm sure that one or two of them will be valuable NT players in the future. My only concern here is that Gareth Moorthy will be our only one good keeper for seasons when older keepers will end their NT cereers and before present youngsters will come to international level. Any injury on G. Moorthy will be davastating during this time, unless some of present youngsters will be trained very fast.

As you see from report above our biggest future problem is midfield. I'm going to encourage managers to train our midfielders. We badly need more good midfielders under training.

Next week we play with Indonesia.

Singapore - Indonesia 3:0

Easy win against Indonesia which is supposed to be stronger than we are, but not today:) I'm pleased twice, because pokemaniak, who is NT coach of Indonesia, is my present league rival and Polish Cup winner last season. In other words - he is a great manager. Today I can feel better than he can, just one time, finally!:)

Next week we play with Prathet Thai.

Good wins! Congrats!

Unfortunately, I was busy last few weeks and will continue to do so for now. So I would be unable to assist you in being a full time scout. However, I will keep a lookout when i can for the NT. Good luck! :D
2014-05-18 18:22:43
Thanks!
I'll be honoured if you can bring your impact in scouting, even if it will happens from time to time. Neither me and mrtessa can't scout everywhere around SK and anytime so there is a possibility to miss some interesting player. More pair of eyes is better than less pair of eyes:)

Meantime:
Prathet Thai - Singapore 0:4

Easy win, but I must say it was high score comparing to match stats (shots, possesion) which were almost the same on both sides. Our 26yo striker B.H. Gee scores 3 times and reach 79 match note. Great!

Next week we play with Kypros, using U-30 lineup on both sides.

Hi to all :)
I don't write since a lot of time, so i'm here to share my work :P

My scouting work is going on, in this period our database improved and a lot of players were uploaded, and now i'm doing a war with managers that don't answer to my sokker mails..
I hope they will understand and upload their players!

After that, I will focus on more young players, that could become NT players in the future!

See you!
Go Singapore!

p.s. compliments to Wiki, that is doing a nice work and is winning a lot of matchs :)
