mrtessa to All
Hi to all!

I'm here to candidate myself (again :P) for Singapore U21. I tried to become manager of your U21 2 elections ago, and i take 3 votes, like ericchow, but i was younger than him, so i've lost :)
Last elections I didn't try to become manager, because I had some problems in real life with my work, and I hadn't enought time to devote to Sokker.
But now I can, so I'm here to do what I can to convince you that I can be your manager :)

First of all, I have to present myself!
My name is Alessandro, I'm 28 yo and I'm from Italy.
I play sokker since 2011, and I come from one of the best community of this great game, the italian community.
I started in the lower series of Italian league, that is called "Promozione", and I was one of the first manager of 2011 that arrives in "Serie D", two levels more than "Promozione".
The championship that is going to start, will be my 4th time in "D.16". At the beginning of the last season I had to refound my team, and I lost 2 matches. After that, I win 10 matches, draw 1 and lose 1. I'm happy about my team now and I think that now is the time to try to become your U21 manager :)

And now, let's talk about my sokker idea!
As you can see whatching my matches, I like to play with 4-4-2, with a wing. But is not the only way that I used to win my matches. I like to change my tactics because I think that is the most important thing in sokker, and is what can make the difference between two teams.
A lot of time (expecially my first year in D.16), I played with 4-5-1, because I had not really good midfielder, and I have to put a lot of people in the middle :P
Now, i'm experiencing other tactics, like 4-3-3 (that I think is really good with this sokker engine), and 3-5-2 (that could be really nice in some matches).
As you can see, I like to change, because is the best way to win :)

Like I said at the beginning, I come from the italian community, that is, IMHO, the best school for tactics in this game. I like to read a lot about that, and I think I have learned a lot of things that are helping me to chase the risults that I want!

About the U21, I would like to create a program with the NT manager, to develop U21 players that could be useful for him after training. I'd like also to help you buying Singapore players to train him in my team, not only U21 but also NT players.
I would like that Singapore plays international matches and friendlies cups, to make Singapore known in Sokker International!

If you have some quesions, I'm here for you :)

I hope to become your U21 manager this time ^^

See you soon, and go Singapore!!

Alessandro

1. How long you want be a U-21 NT coach?

2. What positions you are training at your club?

3. Which player's skill is most important for every NT player in your opinion? Name only one - sorry, you must choose:)

Hi again Wiki :)

Ready and happy to answer to your questions.

1) I would like to create a project, so I would like to be U-21 NT Coach for as long as possible. I know that it depends from results, but my idea is to remain here for a lot of seasons.
The most important things of my project are:
- create a good database for U-21 and NT, where we can see all players and control how they improve skills, and also search around the world SG players;
- Buy SG players and train them, or find guys (I hope in this country) that want to buy players to help us with National Teams;
- I would like to talk a lot about U-21 NT in Singapore Forum, speaking about every match and what I think before and after we played, and to do this, I will try to make every manager take part of the U-21 NT daylife.

2) In my club, now, i'm training defenders. That means that i'm training pace and defence. This season I trained pace, my players (also not defenders) are not really old, and they improved their skills (also random skills). In my sokker life I've trained a lot of positions (mid, forwars..), but I like defenders :)

3) Uhm, you make a nice question! I have to think about it, but now, I think this:
Goalkeapers: Keeping :P
Defenders: Defence
Midfielders: PM
Wingers: Technique
Forwards: Technique (yes, for me more important than scoring..)

my idea is to remain here for a lot of seasons

Good, nice to hear this.

In my club, now, i'm training defenders

Shit, It's two of us:)

About my 3rd question:
I have to think about it

Please do, It's very serious question. In my opinion there is one most important skill for every NT player, once more: NT player. I just want to know do we think the same.
2014-03-25 16:52:27
Here I am again :)

About your point 3, I confirm what I said.
The only think that I can change is the winger's skill, that for U-21 could be pace. I think this, because in U-21 there are a lot of defenders with a lot of defence, but not pace, so a wing with pace really high could do the difference.
However, I decide to confirm technique also for wings..

Look that my reasoning is for U-21, or do you want also for NT?
2014-03-25 19:23:47
Heh, I'm forcing you to straight answer. But don't be confused, this is not an examination, curiosity rather.

Let me explain what I meant: many managers, even very good managers, can't separate club thinking from NT thinking. This two ways of thinking should be different a little in some parts. It is important expecially for U-21 approach, when we must decide which player is worth training to become valuable senior NT player in the future.

I asked you to name just one common specific skill which is most important for all NT positions (U-21 and in consequence in seniors). Let me put my question in another way:

Goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, winger and striker - which same one skill is so much important for all of them, that without this skill they are all becoming less vauluable players, even with rest of skills on highest level?

Let's take imaginary player, best for all positions:

stamina - formidable
pace - superdivine
tech - superdivine
pass - superdivine
goalkeeper - superdivine
def - superdivine
play - superdivine
striker - superdivine

Now remove just one of those skills or reduce it significantly. Player become much weaker for all positions. Name that skill:)
2014-03-26 10:12:20
Don't worry, I'm not feeling under examination ;)

I think that removing or reducing technique significantly, the player will become much weaker.

Waiting for other questions :)
2014-03-26 12:29:43
Goalkeeper without tech is still a good goalkeeper. Defender without tech? I can live with that if his play and pass are high instead.

My answer is pace. Pace is the key on international level for all players on the pitch. We must remember that rival's players are best in their countries and they runs at maximum. Our players with low pace can't match with them.

Defenders and mid-defs can't catch rival's strikers and wingers, strikers and wingers can't runs away from rival's defenders and mid-defs, etc. Superdivine goalkeeper without pace is good on the line only.

In U-21 pace is not that critical during match, but if we think about future we must put more attention on pace. Pace is trained much longer than other skills, therefore we should use young age of U-21 players to train them pace at first place. It will be much dificult to train pace in older age.

Now in senior NT we have only a few players with maximum pace. Most of players are unearthly, divine and superdivine in main skills, but they are playing below their potential because lack of pace. Difference in personal stats is often about 6-10 in my opinion.

I asked you about this, because if you win elections, you will be responsible for picking players to U-21 NT. And I'm thinking what kind of players you will pick up.
If you must choose between two 19yo defenders:

1.
pace - poor
def - formidable

2.
pace - very good
def - adequate

I'm worry that you will pick the first one. Ok, the first one may play better at the moment, but he has small chance to be useful senior NT player in the future, because he can reach superdivine pace at age 30 or never. The second one can reach this level of pace much earlier, and he will be more useful player even when he will be magical in def only. You see my point?

I haven't other questions. I believe you are good tactician and good role playing writer, no worries here for me. Maybe someone else has another questions for you. We'll see:)

I have to say you the truth: I thought you mean another type of question!!

In NT, for sure, pace is the first skill to bring to maximum level, starting from the assumption that all other national teams have all players (or if not all, the most part) with maximum level.

By the way, also my answer starts from the assumption that pace (in this engine a little bit less than before) is the first skill that must be bring to maximum, also because is so slow to train..
But after pace, I think that the most important is technique, and I explain why:
Leaving goalkeeper, that we all know must have keeping/pace/passing/resistance, I think that all other players must have technique:
defenders to stop the ball and don't give it to to forward, midfielder without technique is a shame :P, winger without technique will not dribbled the defender, and a forward without technique could not play really good in my opinion..

About the defenders you have named, for sure I will choose number 2, because:
I like balanced players;
I think that a player with poor pace is impossible to use, in U-21 too;
I think that only the second have chance to play for NT.

:)

Ok then:) Maybe my weak english was the reason of misunderstanding, I know I have a lot work to do with it. Case closed:)
2014-03-27 08:35:12
Uhm, I think that the problem was my english ;)
2014-03-28 19:08:17
Today's U-21 match inspired me to ask you one more question.

Do you will remember as U-21 NT coach, that at the end of the season players are changing their age an some of them becomes to old to play?:)
2014-03-29 15:50:56
For sure I will remember :)

I've seen new qualifications groups for U-21 world cup..
We are with Polska ;)
Hope to be the manager that will play against that great team :)

Go Singapore!
2014-03-30 00:08:42
A very dificult group I must say. To be honest, I'm not expecting much, but youngsters are not seniors - everything is possible with well choosen players and good tactic. Well, almost everything:)

So go Singapore!
2014-03-30 13:23:15
Eheh..
Yes, almost everything! :)
But what you said is true, with well choosen players and good tactics, we could take some satisfactions :)
I don't know if I will become U-21 manager, but I've already started studying kenya eheh..

If you win and you will start serious scouting, future may become brighter:)
