Hello,
I decided to open a new "General" topic just for U21 squad (as I don't want to mess with EVLOGHTOS NT one ;)) I would like to discuss here some stuff related to our U21 with you :)

Just to start ;) I've got an idea... (partly inspired by the great interviews just before World Cup ;)) Would you like if you could read before every match an opinion of the coach of our opponent? (of course in case he is interested to reply ;)) It would be quite a lot of work so I want to know your opinion if I have to do it ;)

Yes sure it would be great to know opponents opinion...

mate i think we should focus more on U20 as we have pretty big potential there and it will be important to make strong players for next season qualification world cup

another important thing is to count which position in rank we should reach to have higher chance to get in easier qualification group

Yes, I agree with you... Those U21 matches will be played mostly with our U20 squad, those U21 are clear... But I think it's also good to try some U19 matches - just for change :)

After last match I was sad that Altuner got red carded... Now I am even more sad :(

By the way, red cards count for next cup game on Wednesday?

Yes, red cards counts for every official game (that means league games, cup games and qualification matches). That means you can't use him on Wednesday (and he will be ready again for Sunday match)

Kypros U21 - Canada U21 4:1

very very nice match today :-) Somek was unstoppable and definitely best player. High performance of midfield even raised after arrival of Ayiomamitis and Kerim Gunes was not bad neither. Cagatayli scored his first goal for NT after nice sprint, but his contribution was quite questionable because most offensive actions went through Somek and his high secondaries were not so necessary.

The younger generation has come out of a winning team! Thats why they are unstoppable :) :)

Well, I haven't thought that Somek will play such a good match like if there wasn't any opponent at all ;) That was really amazing... With such performance of the midfield the skills of strikers were quite unimportant - they just had to run enough fast (that wasn't the problem) and score :) In such case Cagatayli really wasn't that important for our play as the chances were created another way :)

LOL :D I didn't realized it... Nice ;) 5 out of 6 midfielders came out from your youth school :)

if we had more 3pols for defenders and striker as well, we would beat anyone indeed xD
