Once the first half of the season is over I'll be selling 5 trainees and investing in a couple more players. I've been trying to pick up an extra defender for a couple of weeks but I'm being screwed by defensive injuries and red cards.
Tactically I've picked up a couple of things that should make a difference in the 2nd half so I'm not panicking yet unless Ken and Turnipfish pick up some more surprising results.

im hoping its gB rovers that take the dive to be honest.. not sure at the moment though if thats gonna happen.. my newly created squad is a pile of rubbish at the moment and not improving at any major speed :/

That would be the best option but if they don't go this season I think we'll be waiting a while. I don't see whoever comes up beating them.

well they are getting worse and worse at the moment...
when i met them last season though both times they were suffering from injuries etc...
also when they go to the first division they will be replaced by a new user

Depending on how the next few rounds go, I might look to buy myself out of trouble. I'm looking at a triple divine striker as a temporary measure while my younglings are still training.

i was considering similar to be honest... i have 10M to spare also.. though at the moment i need a keeper more than anything :)
my sub is excellent keeper, but on tragic form also at the moment, so will see if i can get a decent one in intime for sunday...

strikers can only do so much also... especially at this level, where there is better tactics and defenders anyway to make tackles imo

I've got the defenders and the tactics to be able to create chances and not give many away. Having 1 guy who I can rely on to get me a couple of goals a game I think would tip me from my current "narrowly losing" team into a team that would be winning those games.

dont tell me about narowly loosing !!!!
