I just conceded 7 against a team with no strikers. What the fook?

i conceded 10, but i have a 16yr old keeper and didnt realise friendlys have an impact on points and form. No wonder my ranking points are 3,700 and yours are 4,400!

Friendlies are quite important now- primarily for fanclub mood. I'm considering investing a couple of million on a striker and a keeper to make sure I get ok results (and also have a better bench I guess).

Yeah, i dont like it. There is no incentive for me to train up 16 and 17 year olds as any reasonable team will kill me.

It makes it tougher alright but if a lot of teams think like that the teams that keep it up will benefit a lot. I'm just not blindly accepting invitations now- I'll play against teams with a similar B Team if possible and only play lower division teams when I'm sure I'll win well.

friendlies still arent as bad at affecting fan mood though it seems...

im really confused as to how the system works to be honest :/

It's done through last season results and positions by the look of things. Depending on how much of a difference there was you need to win by a certain margin to keep your mood up. I lost a fan level each time I beat Welchy by one goal recently as he was a division below me last season but the three goal win at the weekend was enough to stop a drop.

i know its crazy really... considering i sold all my valubale players and invested in pace trainees iv been crap this season (although rapidly improving thanks to youth and 3 week pops :) )

i figure though, when next season comes around, when iv improved, my mood is going to be through the roof :P
my ranking is basically the same as it was at the start of the season (-70 i think) at this stage, and my mood is on bottom level :/

My striker form is on the up again- that was just with one at good and one at excellent :) I've never had both of them in good form at the same time; if they do keep on rising you can write off your title challenge ;)

Keep telling yourself that, they can't score if they don't get a shot. I'd welcome you attacking with 3 and leaving space in the middle or defence ;)

fan mood is influenced by relegation and promotion a great deal several matches into the season. then its the current rank of your opponent that matters. see ELO on wiki for more details, they are using the same formula here.
