hmm... was close between our guys steve.. funny how the backup striker also we had the same also :P
cheers! I drew with madrista due to injuries stopping me playing 2 of my main players, so was very glad to read that and then see the 3-1 result :D
Well done on promotion Kenyard. I'd love to join you in the Prem next season but I'll have to get past Baile Ard Aon first.
Retained 2nd place in the prem which was the season goal. Glad I was able to run Tactics so close in both games
Finally stopped the rot at my club. Got the fan mood up to depressed after the friendly and for the first time in 2 seasons I've not lost any fans this week. The cost to my fanclub for this experiment has been 600 fans. It does look like fan mood is calculated over a spell of about 25 league games.
i realized just now, that you could have won the championship !! wow, what a progress, and such a close game, too. next season is yours !
Just decided to have a sprint through this whole thread to relive my teams history, the thread was created 4 months after I started my team. Was interesting enough, I did notice how there are very few new users (or possible none) who post here and quite a few users who has since quit the game over the past 2 years.
Anyway back in December 2008, my team had an average rating 29.1, now it's at 46.something and back then that would have been considered among the top 3 teams in Ireland, as pointless as that is I will cling on to it, as my team has very few opportunity to be classed so highly, although I probably did set a new record for goals conceded in the Premier Division :D
I'm happy enough to have spent the past season in the Premier Division and to have scored a few goals, pulled off a few upsets and won a few points. We'll see next Sunday if the team can maintain that status against Killgarry. That said I've yet to decide the future of my team, may just sell up and see how much cash I can get and leave it at that or I might have a renewed interest to rebuild a team, have 7M in the bank and would be hopeful of getting quite a few million for my current bunch of players. Could end up just selling up and taking a few seasons break from the game.
I've had the same group of players (only academy players added to first team -bought an emergency keeper once though-) and unchanged tactics since 13th of January 2009, and after a horrendous few seasons they turned my team around and eventually got me to the Premier Division (in fairness I had a bizarrely easy path to promotion)

yeah. the premier division is a big stepup on the first division. then again so is the money. should be interesting to see what happens over the coming seasons as there are probably 10 quite good teams in ireland now who can get close to the prem division.
Yeah I think there are enough quality managers in Ireland now to fill up the top league, it's just a shame that 1 one of those spots is taken by a bot team.
I've just noticed I've regained 6th in the rankings from you
the draw knocked me back a bit alright :/
have a really tough friendly tonight also which i reckon ill get hammered in, so that should take 30-40 off me also

Don't think GB will last that long in the prem. Most of the players are over 30
