As far as the U21 WC goes I think it's your call. From the discussion here it's clear that it has its good points and bad points but we've voted for you (twice) as NT manager and I think you should be free to run the NT in your own style.

In Swiss German Ganzengeile consists 3 words: "ganz", "en" and "geile". Their first letters: geg! :-)

You vote for me, yes, but that doesn't mean that from now on I'm gonna play my own game with the Irish NT!
I like to involve the community as much as possible, and this is a decision which can be taken by the community.

I mean, it would make no sense if I join the U21 WC, but nobody here is interested in it and thus nobody watches the NT matches! ;-)

I'd like to summarize the pros and cons for and against an u21 wc participation ...

cons
- we don't really have a competitive team
- we'll lose some matches, which means we'll lose ranking points


pros
- different players from different managers -> raising interest in the NT team?
- harder to find an opponent if most teams are playing the u21 wc
- winning against better teams would increase our points much more than winning against weaker teams
- all managers take the u21 seriously while in "friendlies" managers tend to not invest too much time in tactics
- own forum, interest in the u21 wc all over the world ;-)


I'll wait as long as possible with the final decision, I'd like to hear your opinions on this topic (if not already given), and I'll wait how many and which nations participate.

yes, but if we will play friendlies with u-21 it would be the same.

32 teams:) we have more than 90 teams ion sokker, so dont worry about it;)

- winning against better teams would increase our points much more than winning against weaker teams
right, i also think that we should play with better teams... but better only a little bit. in WC we have no possibility to choose our rivals... when we will get for example estri and poland in one group, nothing will help us.

hmm... maybe you right, but in friendlies you can also make some experiments.

The big pro is the availability of other teams to play us if we don't play U21 WC. Good Point.
