Damn - too late. Just missed out on this sweet coach:

Jorge Isaac Paredes, age: 54,
wage: 30 325 € country: Colombia
incredible coach

Training effectiveness:
unearthly of stamina, average of keeper
unearthly of pace, brilliant of defender
solid of technique, unearthly of playmaker
unearthly of passing, unearthly of striker

Anyone have an idea what they'd value him at?

I think thats verging on breaking the rules. Upping the price with no intention of buying. He's not a bad striker and i'm looking for one but i'm not going to bid on him now.

I paid about 300-400k for my coach who is slightly better.

It is against the rules. :)

Transfer threads should be in Transfer Ireland, not Sokker Ireland.

If the request were to be answered by an intentional over-bid, both managers could get into trouble.

Besides, Sokker doesn't work like HT. :) Even if someone had given you a bid, you wouldn't have that money to work with until the sale closed.

So it's probably not worth trying something like this again.

Well you could go into debt knowing it'd only for for a couple of days. I dont think adding 150k to that players price would be overbidding either. It's one of those situations where it's only breaking the rules because he's asked.

OK cheers - wasn't actually meaning for you to overbid against someone else to raise the price or anything like that, and I was sure the guy would go for over 150 - was trying to do that HT thing ie free up a bit of money. that coach ended up going for about 230k and I was just short of funds :(

That would have been a bargain but the other bidder would probably have gone up to around 400k.
