his talent is NOT 4!
His former user told me that his talent wasn't even 4 weeks at the age of 19 (whatever he meant with that)...
Edith:
and he hasn't gained a single skill in 2 seasons!

I would buy him but i wont get anywhere near that price.
I have almost 10 mln € at the moment and I'm looking for a MID ...
He would fit perfectly because I'm mainly training passing and technique! ;-)
We'll see, I definitely keep an eye on him!
@Raul: Congrats!! :-)
Sure, we'd like to play against you!

About the U21 World Cup:
Looking at our players and comparing them to others, I think it's probably better (like most of you suggested) not to play the U21 WC and arrange friendlies instead of this ...
At the moment there are 45 signed in, around 15 teams should be weaker or at the same level as we are.
That means, most of these teams won't qualify because only 32 will be in the group stages, 20-25 seems to be unbeatable for us ...
We could still try to play U21 friendlies against the teams which didn't qualify.
What do you guys think?

how bad are our u-21s? normally i would have quite a few but made a bit of a mess of youth setup couple of seasons back and youth pulls aren't as good as they used to be.
only really have 3 players who have any chance at u-21 level

Well, we have some big talents, no doubt about that, but we don't have the quantity of players. Your players Draper, Davey and Stapleton are among the top 3 on their positions for example.
And we don't have many 21 old players, most of the potential U21 players are 20 or younger. And one year of training at this age is crucial!
So, from the team quality (when I compare to when I was Swiss coach) I guess we won't have much chances in the group stage.
It would also depend on the draw, if we're lucky we might have chances against some teams with a great tactic ...
But, the U21 WC is a very popular tournament, already 45 teams out of 82 signed up, and it's definitely more interesting (surely for me, also for the managers who're reading the international or the u21 forum) to play there than to play friendlies!
Another point against the participation was the national ranking points. If we lose, we lose points which in the worst case could cost us a good draw next season. Also here there's a "but".
I guess the number of points we'd lose wouldn't be that great because most of the teams are better ranked than we are and therefore we won't lose many points.
And if we could manage to win only one match against a much better ranked team, we'll probably get more points, even though we'd lose the other two matches.
And Cymru, Scotland and England participate, I guess we should also and show them that we're better! ;-)
Well, I just don't want to take a decision which nobody of the community supports! ;-)

Irish youth is very weak... i sow many juniors from others countries, and they are much better than our..
we should orgenize a youth promoting system, find so much new users as its possible... other countries have lot more managers = and also lot more young players...

A group with Ireland, Cymru, Scotland and England would be fantastic!

yeah agree with you on that - it's only a few games so shouldn't cost us too many points even if we do lose
it's definitely more interesting and challenging than trying to scrape a few extra points through friendlies against rubbish teams
would probably vote to sign ourselves up to it

I'd leave signing up until as late as possible so you'll have a better idea of the ranking situation first.
I skipped the last U-21 tournament and it benefitted us because while we were winning against small teams, we were still picking up 20 points in the rankings while the teams around us were getting hammered in the U-21's.
The difference in gains between beating a new nation and a more established one really isn't that much and it's far better to be picking up 20 points a week than losing 20.
As for the players we have, it's not ideal. A lot of good players stepped up last season and we dont really have the strength at the moment, especially when it comes to defence.

I'm doing that but it's kind of a risky play. Most managers who don't participate in the U21 WC already arranged friendlies in this weeks, so I also have check out if someone and who would be free in these weeks ...
