Yes, if it's the same Kenyard (presume it is). He was a user here for a long time, NT coach. You can still see a lot of his guides in the newbie forum. Great to have him back, I've sent an sk mail already to him.

It's a great news he's back in the game.

I thought so but wasn't sure. Three days without logging in... Probably doesn't know himself that he got a team.

Yeah the delay in getting the teams activated has always been an issue. Amazing no one ever tried to get it automated. Must lose a serious amount of new users just from the wait time alone

I don't even want to tell you how many times I have said this to the game developers.... not even to mention that a tutorial like for example is in the manager - ‘hattrick’ would be useful here for newcomers. A lot of people leave because they don't know how to start the game :/

I had issues getting a team when I rejoined.

Not sure if Ireland is in same situation as Scotland. When you try register here. Because most Internet providers are UK wide. The UK IP addresses are 'shared' amongst all the UK Nations.

So it's more difficult to determine origin. The sokker country defaults to England. Which may deter some thinking they can't pick there Nation.

However you can change the Nation. But doing so means an extra vetting process.

I believe without changing Country, the new user process is automatic. Having spoke to admins about it.

Edit: I am aware only Northern Ireland is part of the UK. So might be Ok for Ireland IPs. However they may utilise UK ISP infrastructure. :)

Sokker used to have map of the Country. Scotland wasn't there. It was depicted as part of England :)

I ended up Registering in England initially. But as I was returning user I knew Scotland existed in the game. Complete newbies wouldn't necessarily be aware of that. Probably has been lots of users gone into England accidentally in this way. I can't be the only one :)

I had to re-register. I'd have given up as it just wasn't working to pick Scotland. Only perceived as still had Langhe on Fb and he helped me with the process.

We have this problem even more prominently in Wales as the country is down as Cymru. I really like that it is, but when it's just a drop down list without prompting we must've lost tens of users over the years to joining England instead because they couldn't see Wales.

I remember kenyard being very active back in the day, that's a great re-addition to Sokker!

Incidentally. How good are the fish suppers in Ireland? :)
