Hello
Presenting myself
I’m sergio7 in sokker. My real name is David Vanacker and I’m a teacher. I got my bachelor degree in mathematics, physics and informatics 3 years ago. Now I’m teaching students between the age of 12 and 20.
I have been playing sokker since 2006-05-09. My team ‘the rouches promoted this season to the second division in Belgium. I played 2 seasons in third division and 2 seasons in fourth division.
I was also moderator for some time in Belgium and was U21 scout in Belgium under the wings of hellsangel. I learned a lot in that time since he is one of the best managers in Belgium.
goals
WC
I want to qualify from our group and then try to surpise from the underdog situation. Trying to get as far as possible should be the goal!
extra sportive
guiding all NT players
guiding team managers to train NT players and possible NT players as good as possible
guiding managers to have a good youth school, this is the future of NT
staff
I have already some managers in Belgium who want to help if I should get elected.
I want to devide the staff something like this:
2 assistant managers
one from Belgium and one from Ireland: the one from Ireland should be someone who knows the community very well and who follows the NT team very good.
4 A team scouts
I want a scout for every region of the field: gk, defenders, midfielders and attackers.
4 U 21 scouts
same as above!
press responsable
Someone (should be from ireland) who makes a press release before the game. This person should be able to inspire the community to follow up on the NT squad as good as possible!
tactics
I like to play several tactics.
Some examples:
4 defs, 2 defensive midfielders, 1 offensive midfielder, 1 winger, 2 attackers
5 defs (3 centrals, 2 wingbacks), 2 defensive midfielders, 2 wingers, 1 attacker
...
In qualifications we should go out from our own strength and try to play our own football. After that it will be more difficult and we will have to adjust to our opponents but we always should try to make the best of it.
questions
if you have any questions, you can post them here. I will try to answer them as soon as possible.

Why do you want to have such a big staff? What advatages do you expect from that?
You named 2 assistant managers, 4 A-team scouts, 4 U21 scouts and one press responsable, makes 11 managers.
Ireland has around 60 managers (atm 70), the player base isn't that big.
Beside this there are at most 5-10 managers who write in the NT threads, half of them non Irish.
Don't you think a staff of 11 people is too much?
@assistant managers: How excactly would their job look like?

good question.
I don't believe that is too much. I think that even though your country isn't very big in manager numbers, all the players should be guided as professionnal as possible.
the possible advantage is that managers will feel more close to the NT.
it is possible that 2 positions can be filled by 1 manager. for example, it's possible that one scout takes on both A team GK's and U21 GK's.
I really believe that professionalism is the guide to better performances and better players...
@assistant managers: How excactly would their job look like?
the 2 assistant managers are very important to me.
their job will have several aspects.
1) they will have to help decide on possible tactic. after scouting the opponent for NT game, I will reveal my idea how we will play. they will have to discuss if it is the right way to go. it is always possible that I overlook some things of the opponent or that I see things a bit differently.
a game can be won or lost in little things. discussing with two assistants can make a world of difference!
2) deciding op players who will play.
a bit similar to tactics. it is always possible that I would select a player that they would not select. it can also make a little difference but ... as I said above, some games can be won in little things. ;-)
I hope this answers to your questions.
if it doesn't, you can always ask more. ;-)

i think that you dont need more than 2 assistansts for example borkos(polish nt manager)hasnt got any assistants and he is doing great
He's the manager of Poland though, he could pick players out of a hat and they'd still win the world cup.
We definitely dont need an 11 strong team for a small nation. Our managers in the past have managed on their own and the more people involved, the more complicated things get. We have our setup, our youth monitoring, our database (online and offline). It's not going to take 8 scouts to sort through the youth pulls each week.

you are right there.
poland has the best players in the world. I have one who has a chance to get U21 next season.
Emil Krusiński, age: 20
club: the rouches, country: Polska
value: 864 500 €, wage: 5 400 €
divine form, excellent tactical discipline
bookings:
formidable stamina hopeless keeper
outstanding pace unearthly defender
adequate technique adequate playmaker
very good passing weak striker
in almost every other country he would already be U21. ;-)
some NT countries would be very happy with such a player.
I have already seen some players of Poland who even don't play in NT...
a smaller country has fewer options so they have to make every chance count!

as promised, the answers to your the questions. ;-)
1. What do you think is your biggest strenght in your tactics?
2. How do you wanna use this strength optimally?
I believe my biggest strenght is positioning my defenders. I like them to play high to create a lot of pressure on the attackers and midfielders of the opposite team.
This way you create a lot more chances against weaker teams. Against bigger teams I like to play lower. Big attackers are always a threath against high positioned defenders. I like to position them in a way that the counter attack plays very fast. This is a big weapon against big teams and I believe with the new Match Engine this is an even bigger weapon.
3. What do you think is your biggest weakness in your tactics?
4. What do you intend to do against this weakness?
I don’t like to play with one attacker. I don’t believe in this because him losing the ball fast creates more chances for the opponents. He always stands alone and that way, it is very hard to create a good chance.
How to act against this? Good position in midfielders will be very important in this. When you come against team as Belgium, Poland,... it would be suicide. Positioning your midfielders or making your midfield as strong as possible would be a good solution.
5. What do you think is your biggest strenght in your work with the community (writing in forums, SK-mails etc)?
6. How do you wanna use this strength optimally?
Biggest strenght: communication with the community. I already talked about a lot of scouts in my opening speech. This way I want to optimize training plans for every player.
Guiding young players is the future of the national team. They should be guided more than 100%. If we want to go ahead with the NT in this game we will have to make the most of every player. I strongly believe in this, even in a smaller community.
I worked one season under hellsangel and you can now see the great progress Belgium has made. The youth is the way to make the gap between the bigger NT’s and smaller NT’s smaller.
I want to use an extern forum for the managers of my crew so that we can overview all players there.
They will have access to every topic. That way we can guide all players perfectly and even the scouts can have a say in tactics.
7. What do you think is your biggest weakness in your work with the community (writing in forums, SK-mails etc)?
8. What do you intend to do against this weakness?
Communication about the game will surely be my biggest weakness. I mean in the way that I can’t make a preview about the game and our opponent as well as preparing the match perfectly.
I want to appoint someone who has a very strong band with the community and who understands the way to preview a game so that the community gets inspired and that they feel closer to the NT.
