Subject: [NT] Shaneteam

Hi all- Just to let you know I'm running for NT coach this time round. If you don't know me my team is Bad Tactics, I've won quite a few trophies (largely down to being one of the first to join up ;) ) and supplied quite a few players to the NT in the process.

In terms of experience with this I've done it before many many seasons ago. It went pretty well that time, we got to the semis of the Mini World cup and got the NT database up and running (in a very basic form;) ).

If elected I hope to carry on the good job done by Geg this season and obviously Nin, Jirka and Raul in the past. Tactics wise I'll be pretty close to Geg- As those in the Prem know I tend to play quite conservatively but aim to win every game. The objective next season is to qualify for the WC, if we don't do that I'll consider the season a failure.

That's about it- any questions feel free to ask.

The other candidates all would like to have a staff of 5 and more managers.
You didn't write anything about a staff.
Do you intend to do everything by yourself or will you ask some managers for assisting you?

I haven't asked him yet but obviously Nin would be the perfect assistant if he wants it ;) Apart from that I was just going to shoot ideas off people like you, Jirka and Raul. That way I don't have to share any credit with official staff ;) If any other Irish users fancied getting involved for the experience they would be more than welcome.

It's already been said in another thread but apart from a bit of weekly maintenance in the Database and setting tactics there isn't too much to do.

From it as for me it is obvious it Nin doesn't have time. Ganzengeile probably also because resigned from participation in elections... Raul most probably he will win an election in Poland...

Nin has agreed to be my assistant :) I'm not too worried about when he's busy with the cup, I'm sure I can manage to set a tactic on my own ;)

@Madrista - good to know you're interested. If I'm elected I'll get back to you on it.

Ditto, I'll have a lot of free time for the next season (summer holidays off school) So I'll be floating around everyday if help is needed

but i will still have time to write here:) and if shane likes my opinions, i would be glad to help him in whatever he wants:)

I want to be Raul's assistat in Poland, but he thinks im kidding :)
Anyway if there's anything i can do to help, i will.

I'd like to be Raul's assistant aswell! But only to see the Polish players! ;-)

One point for you! ;-)

Assistants have advantages and disadvantages. Like sergio mentioned in his thread, four eyes see more than two, assistants can be useful. On the other hand the more assistants you have the more time you need to invest to communicate, and this time could be invested in for example a better scouting of the opponent ...
So in my opinion there's no "right" or "wrong" in this case ... ;-)

I've said this already in the forum, this isn't exactly breaking news ^^ I'm not exactly liking your tone though...

So how about a question for you :) You joined sokker before me but your team isn't as good as mine. Also, I beat you 8-0 tonight. What makes you think you are any way good enough to manage a National Team?
