2008-09-02 17:06:27
someone interested in a midfielder youth

Keith Shevlin, age: 19

club: The Angry Beavers, country: Ireland
value: 72 250 €, wage: 1 150 €
adequate form, tragic tactical discipline

hopeless stamina tragic keeper
adequate pace tragic defender
very good technique very good playmaker
unsatisfactory passing hopeless striker

i will soon put him on the transfer-list, but maybe i train him in pace a little first.
any suggestions ? i don't know what he's worth...

he's kinda dodgy caus he has PM for a central mid plus the technique also but secondaries of striking or defending are terrible
plus pace and passing need a lot of work!

Ive got an incredible and formidible yp in 2 weeks time. Presumably that will still be the current season, so they will age one year after i pull them. Is that correct?. Is there any advantage to leaving them sit in the junior school for another week? (i.e. promote them in the next season) Thanks
2008-09-04 13:46:01
i had this discussion with ganglieazele or whatever his name is...gr8 knowledge he has :)

from what i gather, no they will still be the same age when you pull them afterwards.

if theyre in the school only that season then they will be 16,17 or 18
17,18 or 19 if there for one age update
etc etc

33% probability of each age.
only thing is theyre missing 1 weeks training ;)

wait for more suggestions though. i came across discussions on NT forums too though and they seemed to suggest the same thing. he will be a year older no matter what.

From formidable and for sale- I guess if you're training pace he might be worth a look but his talent is only 5 so don't go too high :)

Paul Thornton, age: 18

club: Bad Tactics, country: Ireland
value: 66 250 €, wage: 1 000 €
very good form, tragic tactical discipline

average stamina hopeless keeper
poor pace tragic defender
solid technique hopeless playmaker
average passing solid striker
2008-09-04 15:30:52
Nope, all players age with the age updates including those in the youth squad. I'm fairly sure that was confirmed by Greg ages ago.

From outstanding.
What training would be recommended to maximize his potential?
2008-09-04 20:02:53
pace for a season id say... wait for NIN or one of top guys to comment

not bad man :)

could be an excellent mid
2008-09-04 20:06:18
Yeah he's not bad and if he'd come in at the start of the season i'd probably be interested but having a 19 year old with poor pace isnt an option.
He needs pace, not a massive ammount because it's not as important in centre-midfield but pace, technique, then passing.
2008-09-04 20:07:19
Hey, what do you mean Nin OR one of the top guys?! I'm clear 3rd in the league and targetting 2nd next season ;)

shaneteam or shane7777

:P

hey u know bits about NT...

pm's
2008-09-04 20:12:26
Thanks for the advice, I'll train him in pace for a few weeks then, should be beneficial for my strikers anyway.
2008-09-04 20:15:51
"Pace is trained by all players that played at least once during the week,"

its very beneficial :)

just get as many young players involved as you can :P :D

at 19 if he has any sort of decent talent you shud be looking at 3-4 week pops easy
2008-09-04 20:19:54
I dont go by this idea of buying as many young players as you can. Not only do they cost a lot but you can only train 10 to the full potential and you're then wasting them the moment you train anything else.
