Subject: [NT] Jurkasz

Hello! Why am I here? I’m an addict. I’m addicted to being an NT-coach. And currently I don’t have a job, so I feel pain and suffering. Please put me out of my misery and elect me as your NT-coach. I would feel honoured if you would vote for me!
Let me introduce myself and my plans:

Me and my team

I’m a 21y old student from Budapest, Hungary. I started playing in 2005, this was my 10th season in the game. My club team is called Grecoland EK, I won the the national cup many seasons ago and now I won the first division too after a very exciting and close championship. Also, I was promoted as a moderator this summer.

Experience and tactics

Besides my 10 season of experience with my club team, I was also coaching the Hungarian national team for 5 seasons. During this period, I qualified the team to the World Cup every time (actually three times), and despite of the relatively weak defense, last time I got through the group phase from a group with Spain, Argentina and Portugal.

My matches against Ireland has a long history :)

Ireland 1:3 Magyarország

I like solid defense, usually I play with at least four defenders except when my opponent has a very weak team. My preferred tactics are 4-4-2 diamond, 4-4-2 with an offensive winger, 5-3-2 and 4-3-3.

My aims

Improving the ranking points is the most important task this season. If we could achieve the 28th place in the ranking, the Irish team could move into the 2nd pot for the WC-qualifying draw. Therefore I’d like to play with rather weak opponents, and of course a couple of U21 matches, and probably an U19 match if there’s enough talented youngster.
Also I’m going to organize betting contests in the forum, to make the NT even more attractive for you.
Finally I will need a couple of scouts, who can help me gathering the players’ skills and finding promising talents for the future.

Why should you choose me as your NT-coach?
- I have a lot of experience even with national teams: I played about 380 matches until now.
- I speak English well, so communication won’t be a problem.
- I’m a moderator, this ensures that I will be very active in the forums.
- I’m willing to help anyone who has problems with understanding the game mechanics, feel free to ask me if you need advice.
- I analyze my opponents very carefully in order to make the best possible tactic, and I’m capable to create these tactics.

A few seasons ago, I set a couple of goals to myself:
1. Win the first division – completed
2. Be a staff-member – completed
3. Qualify the Hungarian NT to the best 16 in the World Cup – completed
4. Be the NT-coach of a foreign NT – yet to complete

first serious candidate:) i remember you - i was Jirka assistant when you played 2 last games with Ireland. Good luck. Anyway - i thinkt that it would be better is shane will take NT again.

a little tip - there is no sence to play with u19, Irish youth is v. weak:( to get ranking points you should use seniors only:) (or youth teams agist new countries - they have lot of ranking points, and its easy to win:))

Yep, first candidate i'd consider voting for. I've no idea whether Shane plans on continuing, he's not said anything either way.

Yep, Jurkasz seems to be a serious candidate with some experience! ;-)
Guess it will depend on shane, if he's continuing or not, but I thought I read something about that he's gonna quit. (but I'm not sure of that!)

I think ideally whoever wins this election stays on for 2 seasons. It's better not to be dropped in at the deep end with qualifying.

Anyway, questions for Jurkasz. I'm not a fan of 4-3-3, too many cooks and not enough broth. Why do you like it?

Ok, then U19 is out of question. I thought 78 users is not that low and there are a few talents with nice potential, but I guess I'm mistaken then :(

here is huge problem with youth... i dont know what is the reason, some manager have realy good coaches... but juniors are weak. just take a look in youth tread:| i had more interesting players in my own youth school that in all irish teams last season...

I was 'forced' to use it this season since my club team has only two worthy midfielders atm, but it turned out to be quite effective since the 3 strikers can disrupt (is this the right word?) the defender-line. The only problem is the weakness of the midfield, but if you position the mids well, you're just fine. But I wouldn't use it against a team with strong midfield for sure :)

I read the thread. Bad luck I guess, almost every quality junior were 20. At least there's a couple of juniors who can be more than useful for the main NT later.

our 78 users are half foreigners who dont participate on the forums ;)

we have ~20 overall active ppl who play here on forums id say. and half of them again are only active once a month ;)

plus most people caus theyre not active dont seem to have a youth system, just a main team.
its hard to get good youth systems going with such small finances. premier division is getting double the income of first division so they can afford to get youths is all really...although im trying but as a result, my training is gone to bits :)

and i also consider you to be top candidate who has a lot of experience. id like to see NIN and shane keep involved again though as they both know the system very well. (shane quitting???? WTF??) im sure ye can do that though ;)

these matches against you were terrible...i hated to loose. I still remember them very well :)

Why are you not running in Hungary this season ?

I´ll bet that U will have a polish captain coming season wich is elected by some friends and not by the Irish comunity, i´ll hope i am wrong but i have a nasty feeling...

Depends on whether we have an Irish coach running. If shane doesnt, i will. No-one else seems to want to run.
