Subject: Stat attack!

I was looking at my team from this season, and I realised that most of my starting 11 were home grown players. So I decided to gather a bit of info on teams and see who's buying in and who's sticking with their youths. Not sure what,if any, conclusions or trends are in this data but sure it interresting to see at any rate

I'm only interested in good Irish mid trainees and they're rare. Irish in any other position will be sold

Yeah of couse there's always those who specialise in specific players. Just looking in terms of developing the NT for the future. Having only just over half of players in the top 2 tiers being irish makes developing a strong NT a bit harder.

im reaping feck all benefits from youths currently... unless my next guy is any way decent im probably gonna stop completely and focus on training... problem with second tier is you can only either put entirely into youths, or entirely into training... my current setup is half and half and means any good youths i get...they dont get proper training really... mind you, my 20YO magical has insane talent and is popping like a mother...er but up till last week i only had an excewllent head coach and one very good assistant. thats upgraded to incredible and 2x very goods so hopefully theres improvements in future... currently though, im getting 2-3 random pops a week since the start of the season which is what i got over last season with way better coaches... i know i mentioned it before.. i just..assistants dont kick it enough for me...theyre a mad high extra drain and i fail to see major benefits unless you have 3x brilliant or above from what top guys are saying

of the 4 youths i have:

1 is a 30 year old reserve keeper..."good" keeping so worth nothing

1 is an 18 year old youth - posted details last week... might get some training, im not sure yet...

one is my magical youth who im gonna train...

last guy is a 25 year old striker i had from the beginning... being sold at the end of the season.../start of next season i mean

not neccessarily true about NT prospects. They may get better training abroad then they would get here in Ireland.

anyway i was horrified earlier this season when i looked at my squad and found out it was mostly polish. I was always just looking at stats and prerry much ignoring the upper part of the id, name, country and so on... ive kept some of my youths since then and althought they are not as talented as the top talents, i have this good feeling in my heart when they pop and play well in friendlies :)

I'm struggling to get Irish mid trainees as well. I keep on getting strikers which is annoying...

Weird how you seem to get a run of youth like that. My last 5 have all been defenders :/

I'm not convinced by your propaganda. My team looks like a bunch of traitors at 60% whereas you look all the patriot at 20%. But scratch beneath the surface and you'll see the two Irish NT prospects in my team who I have bought from YOU you SELLOUT that you are!!!!!

Just shows that I'm willing to sell players if they can get better training with another irish team for the good of the NT. And those two players contribute to your 40% Irish, without them you'd look even more of a traitor ;)

my useless youth i got there last week played 55 minutes there in friendly and scored 2 goals out of 2 shots :P

against a 56 rating keeper too even though he only got 25. this games engine is screwed :P

im gonna focus more on traiing my youths come the start of next season id say... i just have so many all around players in the squad at the moment, i dont have space for new trainees, so im gonna sell off a bucket load of players come the new season and make 1-2 major purchases... everyone else in the squad is gonna be a trainee then :P
81% looks terrible though. u just caught me at a bad time welchy ;)

if memory serves me correctly, you have 30 youths the whole time no matter what theyre going to come out as, so im not surprised :P

you cant train 28 players(unless you're doing stamina which i doubt) so why have so many?

I do the same - one factor is that every so often you get a aplyer com,ing out at solid who is as good as or better than an excellent. Also you don't need to train them all - I think the money youmake form selling them makes it more than worth it.

At the minute I have 25 youths at average value solid. 2 very goods coming out next week and FOUR players coming out in 5 weeks time - coming out at very good, solid, excellent, and outstanding/brilliant!

25 is whittled down??? haha lol... na im just getting crap prospects is all... then again i have 4 20 weekers who are all gonna be formiddable or above probably... guess its bad timing though caus theyll be out at the end of the season :(

my average atm is good, got 2 ~ok~ prospects this week, weak and average... been a bad day at the office otherwise... :(
plus with fans gone my income is down to 100k a week from sponsors, so i made a 20k loss... honestly, i dont see a point in youths below excellent, unless theyre gonna be 17 or something, yeah sometimes u get one exceptional talent from solid or something... but its as rare as sunshine in ireland like :P

yeah do need to pay bit more attention to the youths again

big squad is only to have reserves for friendlies so as not to risk first teamers. do need to sack a few of the worse ones though - think there were a couple i thought i could sell that ended up sticking around in my squad

ah right...guess thats a good point... even still that many reserves??! :P

but yeah.. my squad size is arying the whole time aswell... youths that come through can sometimes just be left there doing nothing :P
