I thought it was a pretty good formation apart from the set-piece defending.

The U-21 World Cup draw has been made and it's not great, although it could have been worse

2. India U21
3. Ireland U21
4. Lietuva U21
5. Al Maghrib U21
6. Malaysia U21

hmm... going by users, its looks pretty balanced overall with no majorly weak teams... india maybe..

whats the story with groups? 2 go through? are all groups 6 teams?

It's not so much the number of users but the age and strength of their clubs. We should have no problems aside from Chile and Lietuva. Chile we drew with not long ago and Lietuva outplayed us when we got the formation wrong.

correct. We have finland and Austria with moldova being the possible sneaky team who could upset someone. Looking at most of the groups there is always 1 team where you think "they will win it" and then at least another 2 vying for 2nd place.

There are 15 groups which means 2 go through and 2 of the best placed 3rds go through as well (at least thats the sensible way - no doubt it will be something completely different)

Lietuva is beatable and Chile doesn't belong to the top nations yet. All others you have to beat to qualify.

makes sense.. should be an intense few matches so. hate matches that are win only! injuries and cards can be a plague.. squad doesnt look too poor though

should i go and organise matches for next season now? regardless of who wins? fixtures are being prepared by other teams.. greece are booked out for the season already

seems theres a bug with the U21 squads also and 22 year olds players arent automatically removed..

not ssure as to whether or not they can play as of yet.. will read into it there now

Greg didn't find the time yet to do this since there are all the off-season updates plus the group draws.
I don't know if you still can play with 22yo players on Friday ...
The best thing would be to agree with the opponent to play with only under 21yo players, that'd make sure you won't have any bad surprise ;-)

I suppose I could release certain players if required.
I warned them about screwing up the U-21 releases but as usual, they just go ahead and do it anyway.

I wouldn't bother organising matches yet. It'll only cause chaos when elections don't go to plan.

lots of teams as stated have already started.. though welchy has an early issue i remember...

as for the issue about non automatic removal of players i checked forums.. its not happened and apparently you can play the players still... :S

will keep updated here in the meantime
