Subject: U21 National Team

I would have gone with him myself, now I know I wasn't just being biased ;) Maybe a good keeper will turn up outside Ireland. Faster that dream team site is back up the better.

lol never reasiled Clayton Kinsella was the same one my friend sold when he first got his team.

i still like keeping over pace any day. although yeah its a bummer if they dont have a fairly high level of it...

HIs pace is up to "Good" now and I'm still training it

Danny Dealhunty, age: 20
club: Celtic Knights, country: Ireland
value: 1 993 250 €, wage: 21 575 €
superdivine form, good tactical discipline

adequate stamina unearthly keeper
good pace weak defender
poor technique unsatisfactory playmaker
poor passing unsatisfactory striker

Ah that changes things then. Yeah he'd be my first choice now.

shud reach formiddable by seasons end so
2009-01-16 16:07:46
How high in pace should I train him? Should I give him some passing training at any stage?
I don't think there's much point in popping him to divine in Keeping?
2009-01-16 16:33:08
There's no point popping him in keeping, he'll get there without training.
Well it depends on what your plans are and if you're keeping him. If i was you i'd probably switch to training outfield players, giving them pace first which the keeper will get as well. I think Excellent is fine for pace. Average passing is ok for a keeper. Really it only concerns goalkicks.
2009-01-16 16:43:39
If you go for a full season of pace and a full one of passing you should get quite a lot for him.
2009-01-16 17:05:48
I'll train pace this season and Passing next season.

I have no plans to sell him. My Squad would probably never see the likes of him again :P

If you've got any other players worth training it's possible to train two positions if one of them is a keeper. Basically you train pace while you're in the cup (training everyone) and when the cup is over (or weeks after) you move the keeper into the other training position for friendlies and finish passing.

Just thinking that the u21s is going to be carnage next season. Everybody is starting off ranked equal so we might be able to get a good seeding for the U21 WC by picking and choosing our matches.

Getting the easiest teams possible will help but i'd imagine everyone else is thinking the same. I dont think ranking will help us much though, it'll be very difficult to qualify.

good point :)
think this topic is more for the irish private forum.. a lot of teams dont have strong U21 team... id say you can judge by the number of users in the country almost.. be a good way about it

EDIT: at executor: ahh...now i see why ur teams value is higher than mine :)
