I think the other changes are potentially much much more important than the Champions cup. The engine changes could change completely how tactics work and the height thing adds a lot more complexity. The day when they update this and show how tall your players are will be massive- it's a lottery where you could end up with one of the tallest or shortest players in the game. For strikers especially this could double their transfer value :) You then have the option to go with a big man/ little man combo up front or having a tactic to rain crosses into two big strikers for example. The first few weeks should be chaos as people work out what works- I hope you're now planning on staying on Nin :)

interesting... so you can get 3 teams training as such? although im sure it wont be used as such too much...

also where is height going to be displayed, as a 9th skill or when u click on the player maybe beside club..?

Nope, most of these changes are good (I'm not pleased with height) but I've not changed my mind. At the moment the game doesn't interest me at all. I suppose that could change but I'm going to take the next 2 seasons out, drop into the bottom division and then I'll see what the damage is and whether I can be bothered to rebuild.

I'm glad you're not going to let your team bot at least. I would have enjoyed the tactical battle with you next season though :)

It will be interesting how the height thing plays out - I don't think it will be hugely significant but the two extremes of height could give some very interesting tactical options to people who build a team around it. I'm currently watching the arsenal v chelsea game as a tutorial in the differences between small quick players and target men. How sad am I...

defenders ability to block players slightly also will really make positioning important.. i think wing backs wont need height either that much... they need acceleration for stopping wingers etc...
also through balls to strikers means central defenders also will need to be quick, so i mean if you have small centrehalves, then block the wings and ur happy... really cant see a problem with that

its funny caus the 2 chelsea goals were low crosses rather than high for the goals :)
what a ball by terry though. great run by cole too.. arsenal are all over the place just before halftime...

The transfer market is going to be manic first few weeks of the season. The day the player updates are done for height should be brilliant as well.

I think the wing back thing might reduce the effectiveness of the one wing formation; before you could leave the other side unoccupied but good wing backs will be able to exploit that space.

Most of that sounds great. Still not a fan of the junior games, its awful in the oHTer game.
