Welchy to All
Hi eveyone, Welchy here

I plan to run for U21 coach for the coming season.

I've been assistant NT coach to Nin this season and I've taken charge in three matches:

Ireland 0:0 Wales
Ireland 7:1 Ghana
Ireland 3:1 Malyasia

I'm playing in the more competative first division (1:03) and came 2nd by 1 point this season.

I've been playing this game for over 3 years now and have a fair grasp of tactics and formations at this stage.

If I'm elected I'll probably take on someone as an assistant/scout. With all the youth players in this country, selecting teams will take a lot of sifting through players skills and whatnot.

Anywho... Vote Welchy :)

P.S. All questions and queries are welcomed

As you've already taken charge of the national team you're the natural choice for U-21 coach. You've got my vote.

Thanks everyone :)

Bit worried by the large number of vote compared with the senior team elections. There's 13 votes in the U21 election and I reckon half of those are going to one of the Polish managers :/

Either you're popular, there are Polish votes or no-one likes me and theyre waiting for someone else.
2009-01-06 14:57:38
A combination of all three I reckon ;)

Obviously I've voted for you both...

I'm suspicious of how quickly and how directed the votes have been in the U-21 vote. There are 2 Poles running but only one of them have any votes. 15 U-21 votes compared to 7 for the national team.

What do the rules say on campaigning by proxy? I'd have no problem mailing every Irish user to vote for Welchy as i'm fairly confident it's being done by other users.

I'm sure spam by proxy is frowned upon just as much as any other spam :)

I've asked Paviel about it, lets see what he says before we draw any more lines between us and the Polish users we have. It's a shame the Polish users don't visit the Irish forums, I wonder would it be a good idea to set up a thread in Polish for them on Sokker Ireland that some bilingual person could translate.

You're far more diplomatic than i am :)
I think most of the Polish users prefer to use the Polish forums as obviously they're far busier.

You're counted as Irish by now ;)

I should have said 'the Polish users who don't visit the Irish forums' :)
