As i've said, all the skills count because anything not primary trained is done secondary.
Trained skill is head coach's skill in that department. Secondary pops are the other head coach skills multiplied by the level of the assistants. So it's better to have unearthly in anything relevant to what you're training. It's also useful if you choose to switch training.

I've removed Zanata and Yener from the transfer list seeing as they are the only players I'll be selling that are worth any money. The 6 players I am selling are muck really(other than Berlinski) so it doesn't matter.

Here's the new coach

Armando Gaete, age: 40

wage: 48 100 €
club: Baile Ard Aon, country: Chile
incredible coach
Training effectiveness:
weak of stamina unearthly of keeper
magical of pace unearthly of defender
unearthly of technique excellent of playmaker
unearthly of passing unearthly of striker

I know he's got a big wage but it shouldn't cause any problems.

You're overpaying him by at least 10k and he doesnt even have unearthly pace or stamina.
2009-01-10 16:04:26
if he trains players up in stamin before hand it shouldnt be an issue that i can see.v+magical pace.. u cant reall complain. of all the skills, keeper and next stamina i consider to be of least importance in head coaches - mainly caus i have old keepers generally although currently hes not..

still though yeah. unearthlies are a little over 50k, so this is high and on a week to week basis it adds up

p.s now might be a good time to list players so they they sell on bonus day ;)
not too sure though but i listed one guy im selling.. not sure if im selling any others yet until i have replacements :P

Because he's training strikers a lot of those skills are worthless. When i found those coaches last week they were unearthly in Pace, Technique and Striking which is all he needs really. They were also 30k a week cheaper.

Isn't there sort of osmosis training in this game as well?

I'm not worried about the wage, yes the stamina isn't that high, the pace is magical which is grand, unless there's a huge gap between magical and unearthly :S, the new coach suits my needs with a bit extra, at a high price, but I'm happy with it. ;)

yeah which is what i was arguing with Nin about. the better ur head coach plus general skill of 3 assistants, the better that "general" training is..

the only reason that you would be right to get an unearthly in the 3 skills only would be if you had no assistants

Pretty happy with how the transfers worked out for me, I'll be buying 2/3 more players with my last 700k. My squad looks much, much stronger. Thanks for the help guys. All I can do know is take a look at my tactics and how they should change to suit my players.

The best way to get an idea on formations is to watch a few of our NT matches. Important things to bring to your own team from watching would be-

- How the defence always moves as one unit and can even tighten up a bit around the penalty area.

- How to have your mids move around following the ball while still leaving a good spread across the pitch. There are countless ways you can set up a midfield and you'll see a lot of them this season ;). A good leveling tactic if you've got mids with pace and stamina is to hunt in packs with them like Cormosia used to do.

- How your strikers need to be as close to the offside line as posssible. Ideally you should at least be reseting this before every game and in my opinion if you don't get a few offsides against you then you're still leaving them too deep :)

I have no idea what kind of players you've got in but whatever you bought buy another defender with the cash you've got left :) You won't stay in the prem by playing pretty football, you should be looking at massed defence and counter attacking tactics :)

I've made a few alterations with my tactics, obviously they'll have to be continually be improved, but it'll be interesting to see how my team performs on Wednesday :)

its more about picking the right tactic for each opponont also mate ;)

not just one ultimate tactic.. otherwise people can see weaknesses and aim to exploit
