Nin [del] to All
I'll put this up, just as encouragement for the youth squads. At the moment our U-21's are looking sad, which is always the case at the start of the season but it's a simple fix. Better coaches = Better youths What's the level of your youth coach?

bummer of a wage... could have an unearthly for a few k more
still top notch coach though.. im pretty convinced YS talent is dependant on the wage at this stage more than general appraisal!

what the problem is here, is that we dont know what a lot of other foreign managers are producing.. theres a polish association here i think some manager runs it... might be worth seeing if we can get soe info off some of the better managers...

Mine's brilliant, on a whopping 47 250 € p/w but i couldn't be arsed finding a better one

15 as well for me. I think the steps you and Welchy have taken in tracking possible players and trying to match them to an Irish NT friendly club will start showing the benefit in the next few seasons. The only thing I would say is that sometimes people seem to be looking for the perfect junior for training for the NT. In my experience, and I think shane777 would echo this, any young and talented player can be trained to a NT level.

I'm starting to look towards less long-term training for some of our better youngsters. Basically if they technique and pace, I'll take them for pace and then sell them on, hopefully to someone training tech.

What I'm doing is pretty much waiting til I've got 2 or 3 good youths and tailoring all my traing around them for a few seasons.

thats what happened me this season got 3 decent players.. gonna focus training around them for a bit and see what happens.. dont have another junior for 14 weeks either so may as well work with it :)
