Subject: The Division 1 Cup

We've spoken about this in previous seasons but never got round to organising it so I'll do it myself.
There are 32 teams in Division 1, which just happens to be a perfect amount for a 5-week knockout cup. Said cup will start as soon as all 32 teams are out of the National Cup. There will be no replacements from Division 2 or the Premier. You're all automatically registered and if you don't want to play, well that you're choice, your opposition will be handed a 5-0 win.

The draw has already been made. Teams placed 1st-4th have been seeded to keep them apart, Teams 5th-8th have been randomly placed which means you could end up playing someone from your league in the first round.

Think I'll redraw that actually. I'd like to avoid playing teams from the same league and instead have a battle between the 4 leagues.

Trying to balance the leagues and seedings is frying my brain.

Well i suppose 03 and 04 woule be seeded higher than 01 and 02. Can the seedings not be done on average ratings?

That's not the problem. I've got 8 groups of 4, the first group are 1st in their league and so on. I set them in a numbered way so they avoided each other in the first round but the system lead to League 1 Vs League 4 and 2 vs 3 in every game for Round 2. I've managed to make changes to avoid that, now I'm just sorting out the lower 16 teams so the leagues don't clash. A perfect draw isn't possible so I'm just doing the best I can.

yeah. ajzerie in our division, as well as ulster emmigrants.. they should be really stong next season i figure..
