Subject: World Cup Qualification Group I

Matthews looked like a classic number 10, I'm not sure whether his skills reflect that but he played great ;) Cramer looked very dangerous along with the rest of the midfield. I thought it was a very clever formation from you, like you said Dean was positioned very well and the way the midfield was set up to trust the defence seemed to work in our favour.

i had thought it was fatal to trust our defence :P

Tomorrow we will play the first final game against Slovensko.

They are better on any position, but well... anyway, we will fight till the end :-)

Their topstar is definitely Adolf Lehota.
Unfortunately he is in a quite good form...

and our defenders are not at all. But I don't want to complain, we will to our best with our midfielders and strikers and our keeper. Reidy will have to play the match of his live if we wanna gain at least a point.

GO IRELAND!

what about employing a defensive mid (who happens to be in superdivine form) to try to protect the defenders?

Just a thought

I obviously won't tell anything about our tactic :-))

Well, what a disappointment!

I don't know why they could make 3-4 goals after a pass on their striker who was covered by 2 or 3 defenders. Incredible, the ball went through them :-((

and after the red card for Dean, they had much space on the right side.

After all, I think if they've played like in the second half and we would have played with 11 players for 90 minutes, we might have reached a draw.

But I really don't know what I shall change for the tactic except some small details...

To me it's incredible how they played passes to the striker being covered as much as possible :-(

Reidy quite weak too.

Friendly against Switzerland tomorrow.

They will play U23 with some U24 players.
We will play with our a-team, but some players won't play as we need them for the important match next week against Slowakia:
Gerry Ducasse -> 2 yellow cards
Christian Colbert
Steven Dean -> red card
Glen Hegarty
Corey Curley -> 2 yellow cards

To give you an idea about how strong Switzerland's U23 team is:
Rico Perez
Their U23 strikers (the 3 best) would all play in our a-team...

I don't think we will have many chances, so it's up to Reidy to save us a point :D

Good luck! :-)
If it's U23 none of my players is gonna play, so you might have good chances! ;-)

well, for example Abbott will play (I wanna see how he does with only excellent passing) and Liam Caffrey too (I hope his form will rise...)

But as always, the man from the island will fight!
