Subject: Eircom League Cup - Season 16

thats the good thing about training defenders, as long as your midfield keeps the ball and the strikers score, there's no problem playing the trainees.. but next week is going to be tougher

conceded 2 goals in last 3 mins freaking great

Round 6 for the first time !!!! its gonna be a big celebration party in the beaver lodge tonight !!

but what a funny match ! 3 red cards in 15 min for athletico, and though he was playing without center defenders i couldn't score for ages... but i made it finally !

I thought i was going to hold out for a while with no defence whatsoever!

the 2 remaining guys did a hell of a good job, racing to the middle every minute and always getting the ball first. luckily you face nin on sunday. whereas i have to play without my go to guy.

2010-01-21 00:38:25

GB Rovers - Bad Tactics 1:7

again?
Congrats to shane and shame on all the others, is there really noone to take him down eventually? :)

GB rovers are an ageing team.. soon hes gonna have to start from scratch.. nin quitting also will open up for a few of the others to have a stab but i dont thinik they can...

There could be someone beating shane in the cup beavers were very close this season but in the league it will take long time to overtake them:)

I'm not quitting yet, I'm dropping down the league so someone else can take my place while I consider it. I had a plan for rebuilding before I sold everyone off, which is why I kept that perfect coach I pulled at the end of last season, I've kept my youth squad, I'm looking for an Unearthly youth coach and I've not wasted all my monay on my stadium (which will be an all seater 60,000).

And I'm making 100k a week at the moment :)

I reckon it would be quite interesting to build up a team from scratch. Is the plan to get 22 good young players in for pace training and to sift the best 10 out when you move on or are you going to start with 10 trainees and fill the rest of the team with experience?

The other thing I'll be interested in seeing is how much it affects you financially in the end- you'll lose a lot of supporters but like you've pointed out a season without wages has it's benefits :) A lot will depend I guess on how your supporter mood reacts to being in a first division even if you get the players and start winning games.
