Subject: Season 16 Youths - ages this season too :)

2010-03-11 22:36:40
I had planned on taking another season out but because I kept the perfect head coach and brought in the Unearthly youth coach I'm fearing the financial damage. And of course the fan club are really pissed off.
I'll likely be predominantly pace training until I've managed to fill up with decent trainees, which could take a couple of seasons.

the first division isnt forthcoming to any club financially mate ;)

im on 140k a week.. (160k if i get my mood up) and thats good is my understanding...

other first divisions seem less inviting in terms of money.. though probably are more competeable...
2010-03-11 23:13:19
I'm making 50k profit a week at the moment so a drop off 60k isn't going to damage me too much. If I had actually sacked my head coach I'd still be making money in your division but he's too perfect to fire. By the time I've sorted out my stadium and picked up some cheap players to hold me over for a season I should have around 40mil left over.
2010-03-11 23:33:45
and if you get proper trainees.. u shud be able to have a superstar team in a few seasons anyway
2010-03-11 23:41:53
That's the idea, instead of buying 10 trainees from outside I'd rather have 2 or 3 quality Irish players. It'll be nice to have money to spend for once, quality Irish players are difficult to get hold of.
2010-03-11 23:48:40
its not that theyre hard to get hold of.. its that they dont exist ;)
2010-03-11 23:51:50
They exist, they just cost 4mil+ and who in Ireland actually has the amount laying around. I can look at the national team midfield and know I've tried to buy most of them at some point and been outbidded everytime.
2010-03-12 00:04:13
theres also the problem of buying them at various ages though rather than a few 17,18 or 19 year olds who have massive potential.. as we usually only get about 5 per season at the moment
2010-03-13 15:03:04
I'd have liked to buy Fanning, but now he's getting too expensive for me :-(
Bought a 17yo player a few weeks ago, he was 4 skills better in the mid-skills and wasn't more expensive, that's why I'm not bidding anymore.
But would have liked to train an Irish player again ...
2010-03-14 13:16:34
i had set 900k as my price i was gonna bid :/ pity i wasnt online i guess..

I'd take him and make him into a striker but he'd also make a decent mid and we probably need more of those. if someone is training mids that is.
2010-03-18 10:37:07
Passing and playmaking aren't high enough to justify turning him from a striker to a mid.
