He's talented, less than 4 anyway, new "system" has me head wrecked though, i'd say he was formidable +2 (but he was at outstanding 2 weeks ago!)

gonnna train him (training tech anyway) unless, of course, you make me an offer i can't refuse

Why not giving him some other skills first?

tbh I have better trainees already :) I'll have space for a trainee in a few weeks but I have a talent 3ish 18 year old on the way.

@turnipfish - I'm happy to take him on if you are selling him but if I were you I'd train him up myself. As long as you have a magical coach to get the best out of him and you can train him across the board hang on to him.

This is my current first team coach

incredible coach
Training effectiveness:
unearthly of stamina very good of keeper
unearthly of pace solid of defender
unearthly of technique unearthly of playmaker
unearthly of passing outstanding of striker

I thought unearthly in the skills he needs would be enough................do i need to get a magical rated coach?

In the long term when training talented players I'd recommend a magical coach and 3 magical assistants :)

Your current coach will give you good skill training but general training gives you a skill level in every skill about every two seasons with 4 magical coaches. Obviously it depends on the money you've got available and how many of your other trainees are worth that level of coaching- personally I would say if you can afford them over two weeks (as in including the money you get from a home crowd) then go for it. It's only in the last few seasons that I've made any kind of profit before transfers.

A first step would be just to get one magical and hold off on the assistants, the advantage you have in doing all four at once is that you can try coach recruitment and keep the best 3 (salary wise) as assistants and pick the guy with the best skills as main coach. The other option would be to find ones on the TL but I don't have much experience of what value you get on that.

Most importantly see what other people think before committing to it - I have my own way of doing things which works for me but others might think differently about spending that much on coaches :)

McGinnity looks great, will go for him

@coaches: i thought the general appraisal of your main coach is not important, it's his skills that count.... am i wrong here ? cause i got one with no goalie skill and little stamina, which makes him much cheaper.

General apprisal counts for assistants and the youth coach. Don't think it makes any difference for the main coach
2010-01-21 21:11:15
i get a pop from general training every 2 seasons with my assistants 3x incredible (2x outstanding since i fired a magical)

im really confused as to the purpose of assistants to be honest... im guessing at this stage they help main training more than anything...

as for the head coach...

wage: 42 050 €
magical coach
Training effectiveness:
unearthly of stamina outstanding of keeper
unearthly of pace unearthly of defender
unearthly of technique unearthly of playmaker
unearthly of passing
brilliant of striker

im never gonna train strikers or keepers, so i mean this guy is perfect really for DEF or MID...

id suggest getting as many skills in unearthly as possible though...
other than this, its wage that affects general appraisal IMO... (which would make sense numerically i guess)
which is why my magical on 35k a week hasnt give me anything bettter than brilliant ever did

Ullen went for 50k. To say I'm disappointed is understatement, seeing as he could be a national defender or midfielder by the time he's 23.
