Subject: [NT] Tordenskiold

Hi everyone

After some consideration, i have decided to put myself forward as a candidate in your NT election.

So, who am i? I joined sokker early 2006, and i consider myself an active manager. I have been Coach for the Swedish and Norwegian NT several times. My best result was qualifying both Norway and Sweden to the World Cup finals. Should i be elected, i will continue to do my best to improve Ireland's ranking by winning NT games.

My team is currently in the top league in Norway. My best result was a 2nd place, and usually i'm in the top 5 spot. Currently i train strikers, but that doesn't mean i will use more strikers than normal in a NT match.

In addition i will do my best to give advice for the next generation NT players and try to be available to those that need advice on training. Obviously this will be done in cooperation with the U21 coach.

I havent put up a team, but i do have many friends in sokker that can help me if needed. I will probably ask someone in your sokker community to help out as propaganda minister :)

I see Ireland have 81 managers. Will anyone hazard a guess on how many are actually active managers? In Norway we 149 managers, and i think about 50-60 are considered active. Forum activity is one way to see this, but allso the progress of the teams.

And Ireland 100 should be very possible :)

I guess i can talk a little about tactics. What i will do is doing the "basic" stuff like checking the last games the opponent played. But i think it also is important to see what the coach does in his regular team as well. I noticed earlier that many NT coaches use tactics sometimes quite similar to those used in they're regular team. Also, while many coaches tries very hard to counter any possible tactic the opposite team uses, i think it's just as important to see what kind of players we have and how we can use them in the best way possible.

Not always doing what is expected can win you games against stronger opponents.

i just know stef from the intl forums more since he is active a lot there.
then again...frenchys who stole our world cup dream or you.... tough one..

At least i can promise to be active. I will post the team before every match and some thought on players and tactic (without giving too much away to any opponent reading). I think for Ireland to grow, the more active the community is, the better. And a NT team that is exciting to follow can be a small part in that.

Allso, do you guys have a buddy system? You really should if you dont have that...

Until there are some motivated managers to follow the job done by previous NT coaches of Ireland, i will not be sad if you or Carna also win. Maybe we could work together afterwards ?

Moreover, as many future NT coaches already booked all firendlies for next season, it could be nice for the future NT coach to get also all the friendlies already booked now or soon ? What do you think ?

I could already have an agreement to play against France on week1 or 2 (i don't remember when i write now). Maybe we can find to play with Norge and Belgium for instance too no ?

if the frenchys win on sunday than at least we lost to the champion. but good argument though.
just got the idea, why not wait for the result, and then vote. fits with the deadline ;-)
