something like that. In smurf's case that is looking for a 1 week pop and otherwise 2-3 low level ups (e.g. weak to adequate or good). For the correct skills on the correct player that might increase the selling price a lot given the short time you trained the lad.
You could simply say those people are good financial managers :) Aaalin (former CC winner) was the best at it I think :)

im down to 12 players 2 of which are gk's... anyone else experiencing this drought in new players ? i had +1-2 for the last 6 weeks,

im sitting on a few gems. i dont often tidy mine up though. i sacked a guy who was +1 in 20 weeks there yesterday alright. but it does take me a while to cop stuff like this
i have 20 in squad atm. 1 promotion coming thursday
i did find most of this season and last that they were coming in as 10-15 weeks though. no longterm guys really

How many youth spaces did you have?? I have been turning over two/three every week between promotions or sackings!

Yeah I know what you mean I have only one decent promotion this season and he is close to 20 so pretty old for training. Next season doesn't look like there are many prospects either!

No. I was referring to Baillie who was promoted this week aged 19 (so he will be 20 in 3 weeks) He was Incredible/Brilliant so that is why I kept him. I would never keep someone who will be 19/20 unless he is Outstanding or higher.
