Subject: Bloody tactics

Anyone help me out here, my tactics i'm creating aren't being played in matches as I've set them, players in different positions and so on. any ideas?

Tut tut, excuses... :P

Place ball in position
Arrange players
Place ball in another position
Arrange players again
Repeat until all positions are done
Then save

If you've positioned them badly though, they wont be able to get to their positions quickly enough.
Check you're not playing people with the wrong instructions, i had someone tagged as defender when he was playing midfield because i'd moved him around.

sometimes i forget to click on save in the bottom right hand corner and then am very upset with myself cos you loose everything.

Dont forget to click on Save before you leave for another page :)

I did that at the end of last season and ended up wiping my master tactic. It cost me my only defeat to date against my hated rivals.

Still not working. On the tactic editing screen it looks ok, but when I go to match formaionits all out of position *sigh*

yes that is alright, as what you see in the match page is some kind of an average position the SK engine calculates. It is different from what you set up in tactics screen and it is just fine that way.

you will see tomorrow on the pitch that it will be exactly as you set it.

Alrighty then. another question.

My players aren't recieving training, why? I haven't got too many assiatant staff and I've got a formidable trainer.

What do you mean not receiving training ? No at all or not as much as you expect ?

Anyway, you prolly know that if you play more than 5 DEFs or MIDs, or more than 3 ATTs, you loose training. Some say you can get still get stamina training.

For regular training...your head coach should be unearthy in the trained skill, magical in the least. Only the individual skills matter with head coach, however, only the overall skill level matters with assistants. I recommend maximum assistants, that is 3.
Careful when hiring, seach for as high level as you can afford and buy the cheapest ones. If you want solid, the cheapest will be the one that has all skills solid, GK one lower and STA one higher. If one of his skills will be unearthy, his wage will be ridiculously inflated.
