I was getting desperate for a decent player near the end. Then Stewart turned up. Some decent players in there, some i think are being played out of position, hence the bad ratings.

Nice work :) Stewart's mark of 50 is probably a bit off with only 2% involvement but he is an Irish striker in divine form :) The player out of position thing is bang on- eg Bennion and MacKeamish are both strikers and would probably rate a lot higher if I had space to play them there. Another thing that can happen is that you can get players that are huge in one skill with nothing in any others, he'll have a large value but not be a very good player.

Some of them may have low stamina and would be useful substitutes. I noticed Stewart was a sub but didn't have a look at any other games from him, which i may do now.

He's been hitting 40-45 in other games, playing behind the main forward. He could maybe get higher further forward

I dont know how he managed that rating but he's well worth a tryout.

Players seem to get a rating based on how successfull they were at what they tried during a game. A lot of the time a player will get a distorted rating eg a striker will get the ball once and score from it, not get the ball for the rest of the game and suddenly he looks like a superstar in the ratings. When I look at player rating I also look at the % involvement to get a better idea- usually you see that when they get involved in a game their ratins can drop hugely.

as for rating and strikers, if the striker gets a ball once a scores...he is a superstar in my eyes, thats all i want from him :)

You might want to edit that and take out Cullys skill levels - Spies everywhere ;)

The problem is that if a striker gets the ball once and scores but can't do anything for the rest of the game as he has no pace or stamina he's more Duncan Ferguson than a superstar :)
(In your case think of that lump you had instead of Koller at the world cup )

The tall lump's name is Lokvenc and short lump's name was Stajner.

We now have Koller back and Bednář from Hearts of M as strikers and one more guy from Czech Premiership, but oops Im getting off topic here :)

and yes I was thinking more about when you are defending all the time and only once you are out for a counterattack you score the only goal of the match thing :)

Anyway Brendan is in full training and I hope he will be ready for NT next season with two of pace, tech, striking skills at 10 and one at 9.
If you think he deserves a chance now, he is ready.
