I would like to summary the half of our WCQ this season. We are on second place in the group, see below
1. Schweiz U21 5 5 0 0 19-0 15
2. Ireland U21 5 3 1 1 12-7 10
3. Crna Gora U21 5 2 1 2 9-7 7
4. Nippon U21 5 2 0 3 12-14 6
5. al-Jazā’ir U21 5 2 0 3 10-14 6
6. Belarus U21 5 0 0 5 0-20 0
This season we can have chance to play on WC but still the way is very long. We have very equal group. Only Switzerland is better than rest of teams, but to achieve second place we will have to fight with Crna Gora, Nippon and al-Jazā’ir. I would like to play on WC in the next season, because it is my target since I have been the coach of Ireland u21. I hope that at the end of season I can share with You good news :)

Last time we played on WC in 2017 so 5 years ago I hope that we can create the new history, after this season but I am more pesimistic than optimistic so we have to fight during all matches :)

I would like to share with You a good news probably Ireland u21 will play on WC in the next season. Why probably? Because sokker makes sometimes a lot of surprises and our owners like to have change the rules for example they have annouced that they have excluded cards and injures from NT matches but it is not true. They also have planned to change the rules of the teams promotion to WC and to exclude the matches with the last team in 6 teams group to make results equal with the groups where were 5 teams. If they will do it then we will not parcitipe WC, but I think that this time we will have lucky and the rules will promote us - cross finger :-)
We finished WCQ with very good result and achieve second place in very equal group and it is the best result since I have trained your country. I hope that I have finally achieved my goal and you will have Ireland u21 on WC.

We are going to play on WC. Developers stay with current rules and we will fight in very strong group, below:

Thank you very much again for trust I will try to still improve Irish team. This season we will play on WC and I would like to also prepare second edition of Druid's Cup. I will move this topic to international forum so maybe we will have more disscusion about tournament.
Ireland - Portugal 0-1 :-(
It was my first match on WC with Ireland. I have started to train this country since February 2020. If we compare all the teams on WC you can see that we will have problem to achieve stats close to 49 :-) but I think that in the match with Portugal we could achieve draw. I hadn't situation 1 vs 1, but our game was quite good. My GK made a gift and we lost goal ~30-35 meters. So I am very angry, but it was our first game and I will try to make surprise with Argentina:-p

We don't have chance to achieve the next round on WC so I asked the coach of România to play u20 in the last match, because I would like to check if we have chance in WCQ next season. We will see if I will get positive information.
@Welchy sorry for injury... Norman should improve his skills but he will have pause 2 weeks... eh...

It was good match. We again deserve to achieve draw but Argentina had one good situation and they scored the goal. We don't have chance to achieve the next round on WC so I asked the coach of România to play u20 in the last match, because I would like to check if we have chance in WCQ next season. We will see if I will get positive information.
