Subject: [NT] Mark Stark
Greetings to the whole community,
I am applying to me as a coach NT Senior of Ireland, with the proposal to dedicate full my time to Sokker in order to improve the level of the roster, the management and results of the NT team on the field.
The main objective is to achieve qualifications for the World Cup in the next two seasons, making the community passionate and feeling fully involved in the project.
I am an expert player, known for obtaining the first world qualification in the history of Nicaragua, in just three seasons of good management that improved the quality of the squad very much.
For these reasons, I would like to do the same for Ireland, having a particular bond with all the countries in English native speakers, in fact that I am actually rebuilding my team with young people of all those nations, obviously including Irish talents.
I am also a person of calm and peaceful attitude, this I think may increase a good mutual feeling with the community.
Thanks in advance for any question and good feedback!!

If you win the election, do you plan to stay on for the WC qualification the following season? (Same question for both candidates)
Thank for your question.
If you win the election, do you plan to stay on for the WC qualification the following season? (Same question for both candidates)
Yes, absolutely.
In case of election, my will is to aim for a long term management (at least two seasons) where the main objective is to qualify Ireland to the World Cup.
The actual roster of Ireland NT is very young and competitive and so, with important longterm perspectives.
For these reasons a first season of friendly matches would be an important test to check team's potential and weaknesses, so planning where and how to insert new players, following with their owners the most promising ones.

We rarely have two candidates for the NT coach's seat. So let me ask you.
You do realise that promotion to the World Cup is not an easy thing when it comes to the Irish national team?
What kind of formation do you plan to play?

Thanks for asking me that:

The promotion is never easy, even managing strong team. It needs concentration, dedication and a bit of skill in searching for luck where needed. It's always full of good tacticians leading the most of NT countries, so no match is really easy.
I already achieved the qualification leading Nicaragua, whose team was much weaker than Ireland NT as now. But, this means just i'm plently capable to achieve the qualification, doesn't mean it would be an easy task, or surely easier.
By first, it depends by balance of the qualification group, more balanced the group, more chance to lose a match without compromising the ride to the World Cup. Moreover, every match should be prepared at its best, week by week. That's the main important thing.
In last qualifies Ireland did great but didn't achieve just for scoring difference. This means that actual team can just do the same and even better. Just looking at roster, It's a complete and competitive team overall.
Qualifing depends by many factor, I consider the engaging of the community is one of the most stimulating and important.
For this reason I aim for an offensive and pleasing style of play (with realistic modules and movements), to let be a weekly amuse for everyone to take a look to Ireland's matches, so gathering feedback in positive and about critics.
That's the main point for my choice to candidate here, so to enhance participation. Instead, without this it would be a waste of time even for me, just searching for a lonely experience.
So, I plently aim to have the community funned and interested in following each match. It's my supervisory main goal.

I have only just found the time to reply, you must forgive me.
I have to say that you achieved an impressive result in Nicaragua. However, it all depends on which group we end up in, I agree.
And as for your statement... how do you want to increase our participation?
Are you going to persuade everyone to open JS in their clubs? I would love to know your ideas :)
I already wrote this in your rival's thread. Ireland had their PRIME in the last 3 seasons, now to do something concrete we need to start again. And that is a very difficult task.
Best of luck :)

Thank you very much for your appreciations.
It has been an historical result, since Nicaragua started his group with the lowest rating (around 67), so arriving 2nd then qualifying. Even playing well at the consequent WC, losing just a match.
But, even if you have the 3rd team of the qualification group but the first two teams has no rivals, everything's much harder and you cannot miss any match.

That's pretty clear for me, I would do it with my constant participation to community's life.
By first, with updates on Senior NT development and matches preparation, aiming for a realistic tactic approach, as for modules/movement. Infact I personally never use "5 in line" defense, so neither asymmetric modules, not even when I was qualifying with Nicaragua. I want the community to have fun together when sunday's NT matches comes, and, also discussing together how to grow best players, obviously also counting U21 NT coaches at the same, for youngest talents.
Ireland's community has already shown its potential, as about to feel bondly engaged and mutually helpful.
I did my best to don't be too extensive in answering, this time. :)

Why did you promise to train young people in Ireland, Scotland and the USA and you didn't keep your word? Was it just because you wanted to gain support and run for election in one of these teams? Why didn't you focus on one team from the beginning, but deceived them all...
He has trainees from all those countries currently. What's the issue?
Was it just because you wanted to gain support and run for election in one of these teams?
Also in that case I don t think it is something bad, many users do everything for winning elections, this is nothing compared.

Do you really think that those he has are suitable for the national team? He just wanted to collect points by buying the weakest players from given countries, without training them and only to register for the elections, so he actually cheated all countries...

It's nice to see such commitment to the game, you don't often see that.
But you talk a bit in general terms.... You have 3-4 active users in Ireland, with less and less from season to season.
We've had our prime in the last few seasons and I think we all need to get used to finishing 3rd in the group.
To change things in Ireland you need a bigger player base, and to do that - you need to invest money in promotions.... Which the owners of the game don't have or don't want to spend?
I like someone doing more than talking. The only upside to all this is that the forum has become active.
It doesn't matter which one of you becomes the coach. I would like you both to stay and train the players if you care so much :-)
