Subject: [NT] Irish National Team: Updates, Plans, and Communications

Good afternoon, everyone, and welcome to the beginning of our journey! :)
In these initial days, I've been addressing several crucial matters, including organizing friendlies, developing tactics, and, importantly, enhancing our player database through communication with their respective owners.
Speaking of which, I can hardly contain my excitement when I say that even a child entering Disneyland for the first time wouldn't be as thrilled as I was when I first laid eyes on Ireland's roster, especially when compared to the other available eligible players.
:D
Ireland boasts a magnificent team, perhaps the strongest I've ever had the pleasure of managing, and there's still room for improvement, especially considering our most promising players under 27. Let me delve a bit deeper into this.
Ireland's Roster:
Goalkeepers
While our top goalkeeper, William English, is currently out of form, but the rest of the goalkeeping squad is of similar quality. They may not all possess lightning-fast attitude, but they're all reliable, which suits my style of play. I may consider making some changes, but rest assured, we have a solid lineup of keepers.
Defenders
As expected, our defense is nearly flawless, boasting a perfect blend of skills and secondary attributes. With some promising newcomers set to join us in the upcoming seasons, we're poised to strengthen even further.
Deegan and Yates will undoubtedly form an impenetrable wall in front of our goalkeepers, backed by a dozen or so top-level defenders in our ranks. That should be more than enough to keep us competitive.
Midfielders
We have numerous excellent all-rounders in midfield, along with a plethora of young talents currently undergoing training with an eye on future call-ups. Our only challenge lies in the lack of specialists, particularly for playing on the flanks. However, I'm confident we can address this within 1-2 seasons, utilizing suitable substitutes as necessary during this season of friendly matches. Overall, our midfielders are well-balanced, which aligns with my preferences.
McIntyre, Waters, and Eddie Johns exemplify the quality we possess in midfield.
Strikers
Now, onto the most exciting news. Our striking options are unparalleled, if compared to my previous coaching experiences with national teams. We have seven pillars of strength upfront, with five of them being top-level players, some of whom still have plenty of room for growth. This developmental aspect is crucial and must be continued.
Our form is exceptionally high, with players like Banker, Gannon, and Duddy posing a triple threat to any defense. With the entire squad roaring for every match, we're poised for greatness. While we can excel with our current lineup, my priority is to bolster our striking options first, recognizing it as the most critical aspect of our team.
Roster Improvements and Training Plan
To address this, I've already begun reaching out to numerous team owners to establish ongoing communication and potentially agree on individualized training plans for each player, with the aim of preparing them for future call-ups. This approach also serves to identify and mitigate any current weaknesses in the roster, which primarily stem from a desire for perfectionism.
The ultimate objective is to ensure that, in the future, we have at least 10 top-quality players available for each position. Currently, we may have slightly fewer options, so it's essential to cultivate talent across the board to maintain peak performance in every area.
To this end, I urge everyone to focus on developing more strikers, particularly those who possess the physical attributes necessary for the role and demonstrate adaptability. With proper guidance, even 17-year-olds with promising talent can hone all the skills required. Personally, I've already begun this process with four promising young Irish players trained as attackers or midfielders.
The selection criteria are similar for goalkeepers and defenders, albeit less stringent for midfielders, where initial skill sets hold greater importance, and even less so for physical attributes.
Season Competitions
Ireland is set to compete in the Mini World Cup, spanning from week 4 to week 9, with the possibility of extending beyond that through direct elimination matches. This tournament serves as a crucial initial assessment, allowing us to stay connected with the roster and continually adapt and refine our tactics week by week.
The Mini World Cup presents an excellent opportunity to safeguard and improve Ireland's current ranking, which will be vital for the start of the next season, particularly with regard to World Cup Qualifications. A special thanks to Maska for extending the invitation.

Furthermore, in addition to covering all of Ireland's matches in this competition, I will dedicate a separate thread for each match. I invite all of you to take note of the schedule and join in the discussion together.
As you know, my primary objective is to engage you and ensure you enjoy watching the national team's matches, even when results may not go our way, as is bound to happen from time to time.
Planning for the Future
I'm pleased to announce that Skyland1 and I are collaborating to develop comprehensive plans for player development.
Typically, I pay close attention to the progress of under-21 players when coaching a senior team, and I intend to remain actively involved in this aspect.
My overarching goal is to facilitate communication to maximize efficiency and minimize waste when it comes to nurturing talented Irish players, starting with the younger ones. Additionally, I'm gathering information on senior players who may soon be transferred, ensuring they receive the necessary training. Even about this, incentivate community's participation is essential.
That concludes the introduction to my inaugural season coaching the Ireland National Team. I hope you'll enjoy all the dedication, projects, and goodwill.
Thanks once again and welcome aboard, everyone!
Periodic updates regarding significant management news will be posted in this thread. Feel free and welcomed for any of your comments.

News and updates - Week 2
Hey everyone,
Just a quick heads up on the Irish national team roster. Right now, we've got 6 goalkeepers, 16 defenders, 11 midfielders, and 7 attackers.
We're pretty stacked in every department, but we're aiming to tweak things a bit to have 5 goalkeepers, 14 defenders, 11 midfielders, and 10 attackers, again making it a total of 40 players.
So, here's the scoop: we've made a switcheroo in the goalie department.
Low form Keith Shields has stepped aside for the up-and-coming Owen Christian, who's more physical, young, promising and in top form. I've already had a chat with the owner about his trainings, and it's all good.
Now, here's the interesting part: I've been in touch with over fifty Irish players under 28, sorting out their training plans. Some of them are showing real promise, you know? There's potential for them to be future champions in just a few seasons.
But let's talk about De Mange, our top defender. It's vital that he gets trained up, better if here in Ireland. Otherwise, he might miss out on some golden opportunities to shine after he turns 24.
If any of you are eyeing up a potential purchase, please keep an eye on De Mange in the "Files" section of your "Office" for updates on his availability on market. I already did that.
That's all for now, folks. Can't wait for my debut as manager, and I'm committed to steering this team towards a bright future. Hey everyone, come join the fun and support our national team in their next friendly match against Osterreich! Let's cheer them on together!
Go Ireland!!

Welchy to
Mark Stark
I will try to buy DeMange and get him to 2x18 + side skills
Well done mate!
The first need is playmaking, where he needs at least one season training, sooner as possible.

News and updates - Week 3
Hi everyone, dear friends. As we already know, the team's debut was mighty fine, and now it's all about getting to know the players even better. But let me tell ya, we're working hard on planning for tomorrow, and most of the groundwork's been laid to organize and freshen up the roster for the future.
Let's give a round of applause to Welchy, who's brought back two champions to Ireland: the big lad William English, 29 years old, and especially the promising De Mange, who's gonna get the training he truly deserves. From what I've seen, it seems like everyone's keen to get their young'uns trained up proper. Personally, I'm working on forming a trio of Irish strikers, aged 18-22, who could aim for the national team in no more than five seasons from now.
Things are looking grand, and here's some more good news: a recent survey showed that the coaching staff of Irish teams is mostly top-notch. So, the future's lookin' bright, but the present's knockin' at the door, 'cause next Saturday we're getting down to business with the Mini World Cup! Enjoy following us!

News and updates - Week 4
Hello everyone,
Before we begin, I want to clear something up. When I mentioned playing on a 'potato field,' it was just a light-hearted jab at the condition of the pitch. We all love potatoes here, but we'd rather eat them than play football on them! So, no disrespect meant to the spuds. Now, onto the rest of the message.
Fortunately, we made it through a challenging field without any major injuries, although the pitch was far from ideal. This week was tough on the injury front, with more than five players affected, but we managed to field a strong team regardless.
The most significant blows were to goalkeeper Mulligan and promising midfielder Mick Truman, who will be sidelined for a month and a half. It's a setback, especially for Mick, who's still in his full development years. I'll be reaching out to the owner to discuss his future.
Despite the challenges, we're off to a good start in the Mini World Cup, gearing up for a tough match against Germany. But we are ready to face that – Go Ireland, Go!!

News and updates - Week 5
Hello everyone,
I hope spirits haven't cooled down after our first defeat, which came down to being a player short against a team clearly stronger, managed by a very experienced coach.
I aim to play attacking football to make watching the games a pleasure for all of you.
However, I don't want to overdo everything and risk some discontent, so I'll try to be more measured.
This week, we'll see the return of two injured players, while three others will need more time to recover, as we know in the case of Mick Truman. Along with the injury to our goalkeeper Mulligan, one of the fittest players overall, in a context where most of our goalkeepers are still working on reaching their peak condition.
There's good news from the defensive department; our young talents De Mange and Foy are ready to play thanks to their excellent form, at least in terms of their training. It's definitely an added boost going forward, especially since we have many defenders, but most of them are still not in their best shape.
Having said that, I want to renew my invitation to all of you to train young Irish talents to the best of your abilities, remembering that attackers are always a priority, we can never have too many of them. Personally, I'm fully focused on training up to six young Irish players, aiming to allocate them to attacking roles and other keyroles, as much as possible. I hope you can appreciate that.
Next Saturday, we'll be playing for a spot to compete in the top eight positions of the Mini World Cup, where even a draw could be enough, but of course, we'll aim for all three points. I hope you'll enjoy watching the next game against a strong opponent, similar to us but slightly lower in the rankings. We'll strive to prove that we deserve that better position.
That's all for this week, thanks for following.

Last minute update:
We welcome one other goalkeeper who is in great form, the 29yo Flip Zounos. Temporarly we have seven GK in roster, just to observe form progression before getting back to only six players.
For technical choice has been put out of roster our defender Ian Branigan, as being 30 yo and no trainable anymore.
After getting back to six GK, next days the most promising striker will be added to Ireland's roster, as better incentivate its development.

Flash roster update:
Howdy, friends,
I'm writing with a wee update on our team. I'm thrilled to announce that yesterday we've bolstered our attacking lineup by adding an eighth young striker, and in the weeks ahead, we might even reach nine, as we had anticipated. It's fantastic news for our squad!
Unfortunately, with this change, we goodbye Josh Mulligan, one of our most experienced goalkeepers. Josh has been a stalwart between the sticks, but due to injury, he'll be stepping away from the squad for this time being. He remains available, meanwhile we wish him a swift recovery and all the best in his future.
In his place, we welcome Tommy Wale back into the fold. Tommy is one of our brightest young talents, and we're excited to chance see him in action within few seasons, hopefully. With Tommy, our future attacking options wiill look stronger than ever.
With these changes, we now have six goalkeepers in our squad, and we're ready to face the challenges ahead. Meanwhile, our young talents under 28 are progressing well in their training plans, and we're excited to see what the future holds.
Keep following us for more updates and thrilling matches!

News and updates - Week 6
"Hey everyone, today we're talking about how vital player form is for our national team. Form can be a bit of a mystery, but it's super important nonetheless.
Looking ahead, we've bumped up our forwards to 10 players. We've brought in two promising talents trained in Ireland (so glad about that), Wayne Norman and Gareth Fogarthy, to join Tommy Wale in what promises to be our forward trio of the future. Sadly, George Limond and Eddie McGilvernock are leaving due to low form, but they're still on our radar for a potential comeback. Now, back to the forwards. It's crucial to keep their primary skills, especially Technique, at top-notch levels. Keep this in mind when training your players.
Our squad now includes 6 goalkeepers, 12/14 defenders, 10/12 midfielders, and 10 forwards, quite all in high form. It's an exciting time for the team!
Although only Banker had a bit of a relaxing flex, we're optimistic it's just a blip for our star striker. Plus, our squad's average age is low, so there's plenty of room for growth for everyone.
That's about managing issues. Saturday start's the Winner's Tournament for Mini World Cup, waiting for our first knockout match, follow us!! Go Ireland!!"

News and updates - Week 7
Hello everyone. This week marks a phase of recovery for our squad, with six players returning from injury, alongside Eddy Johns' suspension for next Saturday. Among these, De Khros and Lawrie, both forwards, with the latter set to return for the upcoming match. Apart from injuries, we currently boast a selection of ten forwards, with eight available for action and most of them in training development.
Additionally, progress is evident in our defensive line, where the younger Foy and De Mange are ready to play, when needed. Our diligent squad management is yielding positive results across all positions, while the main work of roster reorganization and management can be considered complete, so awaiting further growth.
As we gear up for Saturday's match, our preparations are underway, and we're ready to give our all. Go Ireland!

News and updates - Week 8
A new week starts and does it with really good news.
About NT player's, it's very important to train them at every age. A significant improvement can be obtained even when a player is under 30yo.
The good news, infact, are the training improvements of two of ours key-midfielders as Corey Gilchrist and Ray Waters. Both of them are trained even at 29yo, whose last improvements significantly improved their quality and eligibilty as offensive midfielders/wing.
At NT levels, even a 1-2 primary skill's level difference can mean much improvements on the field. So please, if you can, train your NT players as most possible, within they are 30yo.
Said that, almost all injured players are back to be eligible on the field. Only De Khroos and Truman will need 1-2 week more to be available again, in the second case it's important for his training route, by first.
That's all friends, so continue to train your player at their best and let's enjoy wieving the last match of this Mini World Cup last saturday. Go Ireland, go!!

News and updates - Week 9
Hello everyone, today let's reflect on our journey after securing the 7th spot in the Mini World Cup. While luck wasn't entirely on our side in the penalty shootout, it's worth noting that only the tournament-winning Germany managed to defeat us, and it was no easy match. Nonetheless, it served as a valuable warm-up, allowing us to gel as a team and fine-tune our tactical strategies. This process will continue with the upcoming friendlies, providing a more relaxed environment for further improvement.
In terms of player availability, we're almost at full strength, with quite all 40 of our heroes ready to hit the field. In attack, De Khros is set to return next Saturday, and we're eagerly anticipating Mick Truman's comeback to training after his lengthy 47-day injury layoff. Time seemed to drag during his absence, but now we're relieved to have him back.
Excitingly, our attacking lineup is expanding once again, with 24-year-old Jimmy McEneaney, a promising talent trained here in Ireland, on the verge of making his debut as a reserve. This signifies the solid groundwork we've laid for the upcoming season and the World Cup qualifiers. Currently, we boast 2 first-choice, 3 second-choice, and 6 reserve attackers, but with the comprehensive training program in place, almost all reserves will soon be match-ready, ensuring a formidable offensive force from next season onward.
With the exception of 26-year-old Scott Darcy, who may be up for sale in the near future, so keep an eye on him if you are interested to train him next seasons. As always, I emphasize the importance of Technique for our attackers, especially against the formidable defenders of rival national teams. We're closely monitoring other attackers who are in need of development, and if they become available for transfer, I will immediately inform the community.
We have a youthful squad brimming with potential, promising a bright future for Irish football. It's a joy to witness the constant improvement in our tactical approach while nurturing the development of our young talents. That wraps it up for now – don't forget to tune in and support us in our friendly against Chile this Saturday. Go Ireland!

News and updates - Week 10
Here we are, embarking on a new week. Time seems to be flying for me, with all the tasks awaiting me in managing the national team. We've initiated a period of friendly matches to explore new tactical solutions and add an element of unpredictability to each game. Now is the time to assess our squad and focus on the most significant developments. With no official competitions on the horizon, we're prioritizing the training of our young players.
It's important to highlight the notable improvements among our top defenders: Yates, Deegan, and recently Limond. Unfortunately, Limond is currently sidelined out of roster due to very low form level, but we're closely monitoring his situation. The form of our goalkeepers and forwards is undergoing a transitional phase, but it generally remains at a good level. We hope it will further stabilize as we approach the upcoming World Cup qualifiers. Speaking of which, we're nearby welcoming back William English, our top goalkeeper, which is incredibly positive news.
In attack, we still face some uncertainties, as already explained we currently rely on only two first-choice players, three second-choice players, and three reserves, along with three promising youngsters not yet ready for first-team action. However, with patience and adherence to our agreed training plans, we anticipate the number of players ready for starting roles will increase from five to eight, significantly enhancing our overall offensive performance.
Unfortunately, in recent weeks, we've seen a significant drops in some of our most aged players, including established heroes like Mark Cahill, now 33yo. However, we're already working on long term in identifying and preparing potential replacements. As always, I recommend continuing to train the players as much as possible, especially those within 29 years of age, focusing on Technique for attackers and secondary skills for defenders – aspects that truly make a difference.
These are all the updates for this week. We invite you to follow us with interest and support as we strive to do our best for the community. Go Ireland!
