News and updates - Week 10

Here we are, embarking on a new week. Time seems to be flying for me, with all the tasks awaiting me in managing the national team. We've initiated a period of friendly matches to explore new tactical solutions and add an element of unpredictability to each game. Now is the time to assess our squad and focus on the most significant developments. With no official competitions on the horizon, we're prioritizing the training of our young players.

It's important to highlight the notable improvements among our top defenders: Yates, Deegan, and recently Limond. Unfortunately, Limond is currently sidelined out of roster due to very low form level, but we're closely monitoring his situation. The form of our goalkeepers and forwards is undergoing a transitional phase, but it generally remains at a good level. We hope it will further stabilize as we approach the upcoming World Cup qualifiers. Speaking of which, we're nearby welcoming back William English, our top goalkeeper, which is incredibly positive news.

In attack, we still face some uncertainties, as already explained we currently rely on only two first-choice players, three second-choice players, and three reserves, along with three promising youngsters not yet ready for first-team action. However, with patience and adherence to our agreed training plans, we anticipate the number of players ready for starting roles will increase from five to eight, significantly enhancing our overall offensive performance.

Unfortunately, in recent weeks, we've seen a significant drops in some of our most aged players, including established heroes like Mark Cahill, now 33yo. However, we're already working on long term in identifying and preparing potential replacements. As always, I recommend continuing to train the players as much as possible, especially those within 29 years of age, focusing on Technique for attackers and secondary skills for defenders – aspects that truly make a difference.

These are all the updates for this week. We invite you to follow us with interest and support as we strive to do our best for the community. Go Ireland!

News and updates - Week 11

Dear friends,

As we reach Week 11, I wanted to share some updates with you as we eagerly await our upcoming friendly match against Ecuador planned for next Saturday. This lastv Sunday was a challenging day for us as we faced a series of injuries in midfield. McIntyre, Dallas, and especially our beloved Mark Cahill all suffered setbacks.

Mark, who has been a pillar for our team with the most appearances, unfortunately, showed a significant decline in his primary abilities. At 33 years old, turning 34 in a few days, I've made the decision to temporarily sideline him, awaiting his full recovery and hoping he doesn't lose any more skills. Mark is a genuine winger, excelling in that role for the majority of his 173 appearances. However, his attributes are no longer suited for other positions, where I prefer more versatile players or true attackers.

While we bid a temporary farewell to Mark, let's welcome back Eddie McGilvernock, who has regained decent form and, at 28 years old, still has some room for improvement. I want to emphasize the importance of nurturing secondary skills in our players and molding them into versatile athletes, with exceptions for certain priorities like Technique for attackers. Multiskilled players often enjoy longer careers and remain useful in multiple roles, as Cahill's case demonstrated early problems on primary based players. Conversely, we look with admiration at Shane Bruin, more complete player, who remains an excellent defender despite being one of the team's veterans, being 35yo.

These are the updates for today. We eagerly await Cahill's possible return, as he remains under observation.

Thank you, and I look forward to seeing you all for next Saturday's match, where we may experiment a new module, it would be the fourth until now, so goin on in improving the variety of tactical approach.

Follow us. Go Ireland!

Flash update:

At end of yesterday we also lost Gannon, one of our top strikers. He suffered a "last minute" 19 day Injury, that means he will miss next two matches. That's very bad since we have also Chandler and Duddy in low form, but I will find the best solution.

As ever, I confirm as very important to focus striker's trainings on Technique, so to enlarge the choice in every condition of injuries, disqualifies and player's form. Thank you.

News and updates - Week 12

Here we are, starting another week together, as we approach the last matches. The time for experiments is over, having already tested four different formations. Starting from next Saturday, the team will aim for a more aggressive and pragmatic approach, focusing on consolidating formations and strategies. The only change will be a return to playing with three forwards.

In the meantime, there have been some changes in the squad, with two forwards temporarily excluded, Darcy and Wale. The former shows technical deficiencies at his age and will only be reinstated when he shows concrete improvement in this fundamental skill. The latter has been put on hold due to the lack of cooperation from his owner, marvik. Despite my attempts at clarification, he has lasted to defame me on this forum and has refused all attempts at communication, including blocking the visibility of player's skills without any plausible reason. Collaboration with player owners is essential for effective management of the national team, and therefore, in cases like this, it is necessary to send a strong and clear message.

These two forwards will be replaced by two promising 23-year-olds, both trained in Irish leagues: midfielder Peter Moloney from Leinster Team and forward Jonathan Fogharty, recently acquired in Welchy's squad. Thanks to their owners' collaboration, these players instead promises a bright future in their respective roles and will be ready to play internationally within a few seasons.
Speaking of young talents, I would like to also highlight the great progress of Foy, who at just 24 is emerging as a potential starter in defense. Similarly, 25-year-old forward Wayne Norman is showing significant improvements thanks to Welchy's training plan, and soon he will be able to aspire to a place among the first-choice attackers, as is also expected for Ben Lawrie. Currently, our offensive squad consists of ten strikers, including two first-choice, five second-choice, and three young promises.

It is important for me to explain every week how roles are managed and restructured within the team. While we may encounter occasional setbacks on the field, the long-term results of careful management and accurate planning of the squad will be always tangible.

That's all for this week. We will continue to work to prepare a team ready to cope with any emergency in all areas, and we are on track to do so. I thank you for your continued support and wish you further enjoyment in following our matches. Go Ireland!!

News and update - Week 13

As we head into the final week of the season, I want to update you on our plans for scouting. At this time of NT season, I typically begin looking at the most promising 21-year-old players who are about to become eligible for the senior national team. This year, we're seeing a particularly strong group of midfielders coming up from the Under 21 squad, adding to the talented midfielders aged 22-23 who are already observed or in roster.

We're aware that there's a shortage of U21 strikers, as has been pointed out by Skyland. So, it's encouraging to see coaches focusing on nurturing young talents in that position. Personally, I'm investing in the development of many promising Irish youngsters in that role.

Getting back to NT roster, I'm pleased to announce that Jimmy McEnenay has earned a promotion to Reserves, after showing great training improvement this week.
As our injured players continue to recover, our attacking options are growing. With more players returning to full fitness, we'll have a wider range of choices for our next match on Saturday.

Thank you for your ongoing support and enthusiasm. Please keep following us as we move forward.

News and update - Week 1

We are at the beginning of a new season, which has seen Athlon Town win the Irish Premier League. As a small reward for their championship victory, I have decided to move all home games to their stadium. Hopefully, this change of scenery can alter our luck, as we have been incredibly unlucky in our home matches so far.

This week, with almost all injured players recovered and available, I will discuss the formation of new players. This season, I've seen as dozens of promising young talents have been promoted from our youth academies, many of whom have long-term potential for the Senior National Team. Several of these players were as young as 16 or 17, so highly adaptable to various positions. For midfield, however, more mature players with definite talent, aged around 18 or 19, are preferred.

The challenge lies in dispersing many of these talented but unsold players, who remain untrained. It is crucial to provide opportunities for all promoted players, not only to showcase best talented, but also to attract potential buyers. Ultimately, the focus should be on developing and training players rather than simply promoting them from academies.

Many of you already undertake this admirable and essential task with your own teams. Personally, I am currently training nine Irish under-20 players, most of whom are destined to excel in the under-21 level. I emphasize the importance of investing in under-18 players when deciding whom to promote, while always prioritizing talent.

The qualification groups for the World Cup have been decided, and we find ourselves in a challenging group of five teams. However, Ireland will make its mark in every game. Said that, I await the election results diligently.

Go Ireland!!

News and updates - Week 2

Hello friends,

We are about to embark on a new season and begin our journey towards the World Cup. How are we approaching these qualifications? The good news is that our top forwards are regaining competitive form, despite minor injuries to Banker and Minnerup. In particular, Banker will not be risked for this first match, as a long-term injury would be a significant loss that could also affect his overall abilities.

All other departments are in excellent shape, so we just need to select the best players. As announced, we aim to adopt a more concrete approach to the matches. Glen Waters, now at the end of his career and surpassed by young talents like McTause and Truman, leaves the squad to make room for Darcy, who is finally making the long-awaited progress in Technique. Darcy is now a candidate as a reserve and the eleventh forward. Additionally, Duddy is progressing and becoming the third first-choice forward in the squad, alongside Banker and Gannon, further enhancing the quality of our attacking lineup.

Now it's time to play the first match and aim to start this challenging but achievable qualification group on the right foot. I hope you enjoy following the Irish national team. Go Ireland!!

News and updates Week 10

Ok let's get back to update news about NT.

The prodigious keeper Alan Norman gets in the roster at only 22yo, replacing the similar 30yo Dean, being already stronger despite he's so much younger

Another important substitution Is the replace of Ben Lawrie, due to his lack of Technique at almost 29 yo, so making 24yo Tommy Wale be back in roster as second choice striker, with much greater potential ahead.

About young promises, there's a large monitoring of 22 to 24 players who can become eliginle within few seasons, but most promising ones are quite all insered in roster, already.

I can proudly predict a very good quality improving Is on the best road, for the very next seasons, talking about Ireland's NT future managements.

News and updates Week 11

Greetings everybody.

The NT clinic Is full again, with keymids who are injured or disqualified, but the situation Is fully manageable.

The greens of Ireland NT salute the almost 37yo flag defender Shane Bruins, who Is still an excellent player, so he can be replaced by the promising Derek Lyons, who's near to be eligible to play at 26yo.

Many promising player are improving fast, so for the end of season some of them could be added to roster.

Thanks you all for following.
