Injuries come and go, they are a part of the game. I am not happy to have Wale injured as he will be out for about three games from now and he will loose form most probably. Useless NT game? It is an official game to qualify to the WC. How do you see it useless? As a NT manager yourself, I would though you would comment wisely.
I think the games against Venezuela were played very good, our start to the campaign was vague, but afterwards we behaved better.

If we take from the total 12 points remaining at least 9 points or even 10 with a draw against France, we can fight for the 2nd place.

Wale was set to be changed into the 60th minute, he was unlucky to get injured with three minutes left until the scheduled time.

Disappointing comments from someone who has been a big supporter of the Irish community for a long time.

Why would we use the best player for 45 min in a game we must win to have a chance to qualify? You know Ireland doesn't have the depth of other nations.

What has France got to do with the Venezuela game?

I never play a 90 minute game with the same strikers, I always use substitutes starting with the 60th minute. This was the case for Wale on Saturday.
Anyway, injuries can happen even in the first 10 minutes of the game, it is lottery.

If we have in form subs, I will definitely use them and will not play Wale 90'
I always go for using subs especially with strikers and mids.

Expectations: Your supporters are sure of an easy win in this match.

Tomorrow we will face Paraguay into the return leg.
Even though our supporters tend to think that this is an easy task, it is not that easy.
We have beaten them 2-1 into the first match, but the victory was not that easy to obtain. With 4 games left into the qualification every point matters. We will go for a victory and I do hope the players will be healthy and fit for this encounter.

Great result considering we got 2 reds!

Great win today against Paraguay. Many goal chances from our side, two red cards, two missed penalties, what more could we get from this game.
Sokker has a very weak system in regards with the penalty system, it is not possible how low the success rate is to score from penalties.
The conditional orders helped us quite a lot at both red cards and Parratt was our "play everywhere" lad. He was a winger, after the red card from Cummins he became central def and with the red card of Malone we went back into the mid line.

I am glad that we did not have injuries and kept the pace with Venezuela. Next game is against Kenya, Cummins and Malone will rest for this one, Foy will return for the first eleven.

We still hope...

Over the weekend the biggest upset for our National Team was the injury of our goalie - Alan Norman.
Unfortunately, he will miss at least two games, even the match against France. This does not help us, I do hope the subs will do the extra hard work.
