I do not think I would do that.
As the tournament is full squad and U27 is just history, I would prefer to mix our games with U27 and some games with all players mainly with teams from the 30th position and lower ranked.
I think playing this tournament will make us loose important ranking points.

You’re right, I agree with you. It would also be a good idea to play in a tournament like the Mini World Cup, but I doubt anyone would organise one at the moment.

I’m the U21 manager?! Oh blimey… I’ll have to have a look at the squad then :p
I am guilty with the last summaries in regards to our NT games.
Therefore we have played the next games:
Week 01 - Rossiya U27 - Ireland U27 1:1
Week 02 - Jamaica U27 - Ireland U27 1:3
Two different games, two opposite adversaries, but in the end two decent results.
About this U27 option of play, we have only one decent gk, some decent defs, the mid line is quite squeaky and there is Dealhunty big boy alongside Constable and Caffrey who could come from behind.
We are averaging a mark of 70% at U27 level which is quite decent.
Next week is the revenge match against Rossiya U27.
Therefore we have played the next games:

Another two U27 games.
Nice trainings, we lost against Russia into the last 20 minutes when we changed the tactic for a more offensive 523.
A goalless draw against Danmark, defending quite well and having a wonderful gk.
Next up - India. It should be an all players encounter this time.

Week 05 - Friendly
Ireland vs India 2-0
Yesterday we played a standard game against India, no age restrictions.
We started the game with a 532 tactic with an option for a 5212 if the result wasn't the intended one.
Fortunately it was not the case and the lads played for a win and a win it was.
Christian Dealhunty with a double settled the final score with Gareth Fogharty and reserve Jimmy McEneaney missing other important goal chances.
Next up is a duel against El Salvador - 45th team into the World rankings while we are sitting on the 44th place. Quite an interesting game.

Yeah I expected a heavier defeat. We definitely don't have the same level of young players that they do so almost getting a draw was a decent result.
Indeed, we must have patience with the lads.
