HIGHLIGHTS:

Coach's funny comment:

"Alright, folks, gather 'round for a wee chat about our latest match against Germany. It was a bit of a rollercoaster, let me tell ya! We went toe-to-toe with 'em, played our hearts out, but ended up on the wrong end of a 5-3 scoreline. And here's the kicker – we spent most of the game with ten men on the pitch, and towards the end, we were down to nine! Now, if that doesn't show some grit and determination, I don't know what does!

Sure, some might say it was a tough break, and they'd be right. Playing shorthanded against a powerhouse like Germany ain't no walk in the park. But let me tell ya, lads, we held our heads high, fought like lions, and gave 'em a run for their money. It could've been a different story if luck was on our side, but that's football for ya!

Tactically, we kept our heads in the game and didn't make too many errors. The opposition struggled to create clean chances, especially down the wings where our marking was spot on. Unfortunately, halfway through the first half, Banker may have gotten a bit rattled playing in a deeper position, and he was sent off, leaving our attack somewhat stranded. It's a lesson learned, and we'll be looking at other players for that role in the future.

And let's not forget, folks, that our journey doesn't end here. We're already gearing up for our next big challenge against New Zealand, where we'll be battling it out for that all-important second spot in the standings! So mark your calendars and get ready to cheer on the boys in green once again!

So let's raise a glass to our boys in green, to their courage and resilience. We may have come up short this time, but mark my words, we'll bounce back stronger than ever! Go on, Ireland!"

Now, to be more serious.

The match was well-prepared, and it remained balanced until the 28th minute with a 2-2 score. However, the red card to Banker split our offense in two unexpected parts.

Our flank coverage was perfect, with only minor mistakes in central defense. Additionally, Banker and Cahill could have been better positioned as switched themself, as their offensive movements were already quite proficient.

Facing one of the strongest team/coach combinations, our performance was reasonable, but we know we can do better. We'll need to be luckier in the future.

Stay tuned for our next decisive match in the Mini World Cup Group 1!

I watched the game. The tactic was very risky against strong Germany and their coach. I think that had a lot of empty space in defence. Of course you got red card and after that Ireland lost the best striker, but I don't know it was good decision to play Cahil like a striker he is very good Wing and you should play him there, but it is only my opinion and the match was very interesting. Good luck during next games :-)

Sincerely, for a misunderstanding about starting time, I didn't make last changes in time, whose would have set as MID in central position Mark Cahill. Can happen, After a full week of managing and preparation, but I'm Sorry about It.

I aimed to defeat Germany with an offensive play, but the red card to Banker, who played in the same central position, was totally unpredictable and ruined all our plans, so exposed too much our defense to counterattacks, who payed some mistakes in central coverage.

I will work to prevent this kind of problem, since it's important to grant coverage to our offense, so to unleash its full Power, as the same coach of Germany was openly worried about.

I'm partially satisfied, by the way, about the match, even of played versus a top team, whose is the strongest of the whole Mini World Cup.

So I care consideration of your critics and I am already working on these features, thank you for that.

You should set additional condition due to red card. If you are playing striker in the central position. I know that you can't save all position but always you should block Def, striker and wing if you are playing Wing during the match.

All conditional order slots were already full, as to prevent this in Defense and for several substitutions, by first. All important stuff.

Experienced what happened this last match, I'll make room for one more for the central Striker missing, by the way. Thanks.

Correct sometimes you need to skip change and use slot to set the condition. In NT the players have max stamina so they can play whole match in u21 you need to do more substitutions:-)
2024-04-14 21:02:08
Top stamina doesn't mean top performance for 90 minutes, in the last part of the match subs are necessary in several keyroles, as everybody does in Senior NT matches.

Can make a considerable difference, in many even matches. :-)

NEXT MATCH:

New Zealand - Ireland

Mini World Cup Group 1 - Week 6

Coach comment:

Alright friends, we play vs. the "All Blacks" in their managerial soccer version, whose team is comparable to our one. So it will be all in our hands to show to deserve to qualify to the top half of the Mini World Cup.

It's anglophone and italian derby at the same time, since also New Zealand's coach is an historic Italian user as I am, so it will be a challenge-in the challenge!

It's forbidden to lose the match so I count on your support, I'll do my best since now to prepare the match in full details, go Ireland go!!
