Subject: [NT] Attila

Attila to All
My name is Attila I'm from Budapest, I have been playing sokker since 2009.

In the Hungarian league, my club plays in the 1st division.

I have many years of experience in leading National Teams. Most recently, until now, I was the captain of the Hungarian U21 Team. Before that, I led the Hungarian senior NT for 2 seasons. I participated in the World Cup three times with these national teams.

I gained further experience with NTs of medium strength, for the longest time (11 seasons) I managed India's senior and U21 teams. Before that, I managed both national teams of Tunisia for many seasons. I can say that in the last 10 years I have been the coach of one of the NTs.

Why am I applying to the Ireland National Team now? Because I really love Ireland! :) Dublin, Galway and the wonderful Irish landscapes, Irish music, Irish symbolism. A proud nation with a tough history. Similar to Hungary.

What are my goals? I would like to send Ireland NT to the next World Cup. The team was close to this success last time, and if I manage to win the captaincy, I will do everything to ensure that Ireland is there at the next World Cup. As I see it, very good players are available for this great success. If you vote for me, I would like to create a database covering all details, in which I will register not only the present players, but also the players of the future, from the age of 22.

If you liked my introduction, please vote for me.

If you win the election, do you plan to stay on for the WC qualification the following season?

What would you say is your style of tactics, in particular for a weaker team playing a stronger opponent?

(Same questions for both candidates)

I'd like to stay at least 4 or 6 seasons.

Regarding tactics I prefer attack with a winger. My favourite line up: 4 defenders, 1 def-mid, 2 box-to-box midfielders, 1 winger and 2 striker. I believe in this tactic against weaker NTs.
But if the opponents are significant stronger than my NT I will use 5 defenders and attack without winger. 5 defenders can play 1 line or 3 central def and 2 wingback.

Thanks for your questions.

Good to see you Attila! :-)
I am glad to see such interest in our NT Ireland team.

I will ask the same question I asked grosik.
Do you plan to train Irish players?
2024-09-11 16:40:57
Thank you for your question.

I am happy to help the Irish community by coaching players. During my previous work as a coach for Tunisia and India, it was necessary to support the development of the national team by training players. These soccer communities are with a similar number of users and it was necessary for talented players to be trained in the right place for right skills. I have coached players for both countries (India and Tunis) and I will gladly do the same for Ireland.

Please let me know if there is a player who needs one of my 10 advanced training spots. The opportunity is open to Irish players.

As I wrote in the trga thread.... it is hard to find quality players in Ireland. Almost every player has to be made from "zero" to achieve anything :-)
Unfortunately my luck with juniors has died out and the last worthwhile player was with me a year and a half ago....

It was the same situation in India when I started working there as an U21 coach and later as a senior NT coach. There were very few talented players, but those few were bought by me or a friend and we trained the youngsters. The 2 active users also coached young players (there were only 2 active users in India at that time!).
When a new user came with a new registration, I helped him with advice and asked him to open a youth academy as soon as he had enough money.

It was a long work, over many seasons. The situation maybe similar in Ireland.

When I started managing the senior NT in India, I saw that most of NT-members are 32-36 years old, so they will age quickly and lose their skills. I had to do a big rejuvenation instead of the old players who were out, in weaker form and losing skills. This process took time for several seasons, but I kept seeing the goal of a generational change in the National Team.

If this is the case in Ireland, it only motivates me even more. I don't back down from a big task.

Of course, I know what trga's candidacy means. He achieved a World Championship title, which deserves huge recognition. With the arrival of Trga, my chances decreased significantly.
What argument can there be on my side? I already know this situation - that there are few talented young people for this task, and some of the national team players will be getting old in the near future and their skills decrease. I have already done this task in India.
I hope to get the opportunity to do this task in Ireland as well. Let's make a miracle together!

When a new user came with a new registration, I helped him with advice and asked him to open a youth academy as soon as he had enough money.

As a user who has tried more than once to encourage someone to play this game.... unfortunately I don't see it happening. Someone here(the owners of the game) needs to invest money in advertising the game :-)
From season to season we have less and less users.... AND on top of that Ron is getting bored with the game.
If Ron leaves... Things will really start to fall apart in Ireland.

I have never demanded that someone who ran the NT Ireland should have a good result, to get a good result here you really have to make an effort and it is not easy. My preference here would be for someone to start training and sort it out with the U21 coach who is also doing his best :-)

I think there is a chance that Ireland's national team will rise.

I'm looking at the transfer list now and I see this player:

Kevin Rooney, age: 19
club: Leinster Team, country: Ireland

average [5] stamina hopeless [1] keeper
weak [4] pace weak [4] defender
formidable [11] technique average [5] playmaker
good [7] passing excellent [10] striker

I think somebody could train a good player from him.
I like to see things optimistically. Perhaps the example of this player shows that there is hope for the future.

I see that Leinster Team plays in the Irish League 2. Do you know this user?
2024-09-12 08:53:08
I do not know. The active users here can be counted on one hand. The only move that can be made now is to train what is on the TL, what is in the hands of the U21 team and to persuade this person to set up a YS:
https://sokker.org/pl/app/team/143377/

This is the only person who does not have YS :-)
2024-09-12 10:58:44
It's a relatively new club, maybe that's why it hasn't opened YS yet. But it would clearly be necessary for him to open YS as well, I think his financial situation makes this possible.

I see that these are the currently active Clubs. Meaning these clubs have owners, they were online these days too.
Premier Division:
Athlone Town A.F.C.
Caroline
evilbunny united
AC&FC
Shelbourne F.C.
doowyrrehC
Monkeyhangers FC

First Division:
Leinster Team
Valsgaard IF 83

Not much is true. But as I wrote I started from a much worse situation in India, where there were 3 live users, 2 of which were active.

If you vote for me as captain one of my main goals will be to have a YS for each of the 9 clubs listed above.

I want to buy this player: Ben Donaghey

I could train him for pace, technique, passing. I will train him even if I am not the lucky winner of this election.

Although I probably have little chance of winning the pick, I'm curious to see what Irish players are in the game. I looked at the goalkeepers for now. If I am chosen as captain, I would definitely count on this goalkeeper:
Keith Shields

I think that Shields is currently the best in Ireland and even his age is favorable, even after the age update he will only be 28 years old.

In addition to the Shields, Ireland also have great goalkeepers:
English (strange name), Jones, McGinn. I think Ireland is very good at this position.

What can be problematic is that there is only one good quality goalkeeper in the U21 age groups:
Nigel Archbold
In this position, it is certain that 1-2 more young people who are trained for GK skills would be needed.

That's all I've looked at for now, but of course, if I'm elected, I'll look over the other posts as well, maybe I'll find some players for NT who aren't currently part of the squad.
2024-09-13 11:51:13
I think Shields was out of the squad for a while due to low form. GK is probably one of the strongest groups we have at NT level, though we do need another U21 trainee as you say.
