Much appreciated. Yes i try to be as open as possible with what I/We have to work with as a Nationand what areas are lacking talent and need improving.

Also im selling a fair few trainees so have the spaces and cash atm if you have anyone you want to move on as i would rather do my bit an take on Irish players where possible.

Urm ill fess up lads.... i made a new formation, took out all the players and as i started to re-fill the team sheet had to rush off for a bit of a work emergency and completely forgot to put the rest in so we forfeited the match this week :(

(and tbh their manager has been playing 21's in the U21 competition anyway)

I saw it this morning and you even motivated me to write a few words to the administration and developers.
Changing the age and the match on the same day is some kind of unfunny joke.

It's fine if they play the match and lose 5-0. But the national team manager can't be defeated by forfeit.

If I were you, I'd appoint an Irish coach immediately and fire him. The three votes cast can be taken and given to an Irish coach.

I will fully accept 33% of the blame (Work and the family can take the rest) i did wonder why the 3D match engine wouldn't load up....

I probably shouldn't of been so honest, think i might of got away with it as everyone hopefully distracted by the Antoś masterclass with the full NT :)

I totally understand... so don't worry about it. It happens. It's just that the current system is terribly stupid. Imagine if we played Friday games like in Colombia at 1-2 a.m. and in the morning we had an away game with some team - the time between these games to check if all the players are healthy is a joke.

Playing a match on the same day as the players' age change is really not a funny joke.

Thanks for the Understanding, i fully agree and am not totally sure how the home kick off times are decided as the South Africa times made more sense to me in the UK than the europeans ones seem to..

I can only guess that its done today to tie in with the Junior Schools? but to me it would make more sense to be done on a matchless day maybe Monday but i can't imagine it will be changed.

Good Evening everyone,
I am delighted to carry on my journey with Ireland following the election. I hoped it would be a long term plan following the last manager, but would have accepted it if someone from within the Irish setup wanted to take up the role. Last season was a discovery mission and was a bit mixed to say the least (we wont mention Saturday...) but I feel I put in a lot of work and I can safely say I have looked over every under 22yr player of Irish nationality! I also think we were a bit unlucky with some results particularly the last 2 games losing on penalties and in the last minute against better sides.

Looking ahead the draw for U21 World Cup qualifying has been made (and a post will follow tomorrow about that) we have a decent core of the squad but with places still up for grabs. As always at this time of the season I have trainee spots and some cash if you have anyone you want to sell on. I also might make a depth chart showing what we need/have if that would be of use as to training etc..

I won't bore you all with a very long post, but if you would like me to do anything or have any ideas then please let me know I'm usually online throughout the day and like having a more active community group as it is your nation and your team.

So thanks again, I find this a good distraction and chill out from life, especially as my own team is painfully mid-table and stuck there for the foreseeable future :)

Always going to be tough with our seeding, but i dare to say it could of been a lot worse..
Belgium and Serbia are very good, we recently lost in extra time to Bosnia, From some quick research Tunisia have lost a couple of their better players turning 22 and Ghana should be beatable so a mixed bag but im hopeful we can cause an upset or two :)

Friendly 2 - i will leave for a while and pick an opponent reflecting whatever level we have struggled against in phase 1 of qualifying (defending vs higher ranked.. OR .. breaking down lower ranked teams)

India U21 1-2 Ireland U21

A wins a win, and the attack was a bit better than i expected but we were a bit a bit messy in defence at times. I did think about experimenting with a very different tactic but with almost no friendlies this season decided not to and focus on tactics i will probably use in qualifying. On to Bosnia next week for our first group game in qualifying :)
