Strange question, I know!
In my last match I had 23 shots on goal with no score. I played three up front - good striker in brilliant form, excellent str in unearthly form and vg str in excellent form.
Was I just really unlucky or do my strikers need to be a lot better?

A lot depends on positioning and other skills to get in good places to score, namely tech and pace.
Back in the early days I play, off the top of my head:
Solid striker with good pace and tech
Ade striker with solid pace and ade tech
Something like that. Every now and then they would score all the time, but they weren't that reliable. Good supply can be a great help for not so good strikers though.

The ex. player also had vg tech but poor pace. The others had low values on both so maybe that explains it.
and if the stamina is low the start to loos skill if the run a lot
i have an formid striker and an outstanding striker. i got 33 shots last week, many of them close range with no one between player and goalie, against a really piss-poor goalie.
I scored twice.
This can be explained by bad luck and by VERY VERY low form on my players.
There are a lot of factors that all play in, besides the player's striker skill.

Pase isn't gonna hurt your shot itself, tho it will make the shot be less likely to be a quality one (and decrease the # of shots overall)
