Subject: Help with training

2006-11-23 15:46:36
Well I am up for a more longterm strategy, especially as I rate my team to be the best in my league. Whether I qualify will be merely down to how often I get online (I cockily predict)

My junior coach is excellent, and is costing 12k (Oops!) so I will change him. Is it only coach skill that counts for junior coach? Think I picked that up somewhere...

Got 9 places in my junior school too. And with my current coaches wages of about 25k, I am just about hanging in there financially, and expect things to improve next season when crowds pick up, juniors start coming through etc

only the main coach skill counts for junior school and assistants.

def have to say that building for the long-term is looking like the best strategy in sokker. right from the start i invested every penny i had in coaches, stadium and juniors. ive basically been a selling club because of it (training players and selling them to pay coaches wages and save up for stadium expansion)

ive kept a very big turnover of players doing this, selling off the older ones and bringing through the younger ones, knowing how talented they are from the junior setup. i just sold a player there for 500k and he was only really a squad player. training ure players can really pay your bills.

that said i still need to look over my coach setup as im leaking money that doesnt benefit me. my main coach has 3x unearthly because im not on enuf to buy one from the transfer list while random coaches are generally not what you want. all my assistants are excellent+ with my junior coach at outstanding. i think all could be better and at lower wages as all were gotten from the random old system

Aye Im planning on saving up for a stadium expansion myself as soon as I can - expect to fill my current stadium easy enough this season.

First things first though, I have to beat you in the cup bitch ;)

I've added an extra 2000 benches to my stadium. I've still got a bit left over for when I make the choice about what to train though.

I think the best option is normally to build the terraces behind the goals. They're cheaper and allow more people in to see the games.
2006-12-09 16:16:28
I heard the best option was benches because apparently if there's no terraces left, these people will pay the higher price to sit in the benches.

However, if there's people who want benches but there's no benches available, they will not downgrade to terraces.

That's what Ive heard anyway

I think thats correct as well.
I go by the idea that money is short when you're starting up so it's better to add 4000 terraces than 1000 benches and to pull in as big a crowd as you can. It all needs doing eventually, i just think it's better to do what you can afford to first.

seats in the middle and benches behind the goals. i wouldnt spend any money on anything else. just getting my first roof myself now after half a dozen seasons of that

best of luck in the cup tho!

What would youse say is the minimum expansion you should do? I remember from Hattrick that it's dumb doing small expansions...

I have 90k and am willing to go a little into debt. Should I build, or what till I have more funds?
2006-12-12 01:45:48
I'd go with 2000 terraces for 80k. Someone else may say differently.
2006-12-12 09:31:59
Benches and seats are all that's worth building. You're wasting your time with terraces.
2006-12-12 09:33:36
They say seat by the sides and benches behind goals are most financially effective in a long run.
You need to consider you fanclub, the league and if you fill the stadium as it is now. Maybe look at other team's stadiums how big they are and if they fill them up.

Build as big as you can as long as you think you can fill it up. It will pay back.
2006-12-12 09:37:59
i sugest to bulid a 2-2,5k seats.
2006-12-12 12:25:54
He's only got 80k. Thats not an option.
In the long run it is better to have seats and benches but when you could have a crowd of 10,000 and you've only got a 5000 stadium you're losing money. It's better to make sure you're getting in the biggest crowd you can, and then upgrade when you can afford it.
2006-12-12 13:25:36
You're not filling your stadium yet so I'd hold off for a while. Like hattrick the bigger the blocks you build in the more economical it is so what I would do is wait for about another 100k from player sales and crowds and build 2.5k benches behind one of the goals. It's not really worth going into the red as you end up paying a lot of interest and right now you should be skimping any way you can.
